Bill Oddie was funny at least to me....but admittedly the humour probably doesn't translate to 'nowadays'.

No, I watched the Icky Thump sketch on YouTube a couple days back when I heard of his death. It's still funny, but it includes a needlessly blacked up, afro wearing Graham Garden.

Humour is subjective, so I can't tell you you're wrong. She's made a career in comedy so must have something some people like. What is it about her comedy you don't find funny?

I need to explain to you why i don't find her funny?

Really?

I'm just curious. I've wouldn't say I'm a fan, I wouldn't personally pay to go watch her, but I've seen her on shows and she is funny in her own right, in my opinion obviously. She was on Taskmaster and I thought she was very good.

I'm curious because often when people cite her as being unfunny its purely down to her being disabled and not the nature of her comedy or material. They can't pinpoint what they don't like about her comedy style or matrial and when you scrape the surface they opinion often lands her being disabled.

As an example I don't particularly enjoy Gary Delaneys style of comedy, the one liners aren't for me. Also I find Rosie seems to get the brunt of people hate. Its ok to not like a comedian, I've just mentioned one I don't like. Would I or anyone else have posted his face on here as if he's the poster boy for unfunny comics? Probably not.

The content and delivery are my issues with her

Shocked by this, he was still relatively young. Nightcall is a masterpiece. RIP

****, this is genuinely gutting. I was listening to Reborn the other day.

The version of Nightcall he did at the Olympics with Phoenix and Angèle was awesome.

Dead at 50. No age.

2013 feels like yesterday.

An iconic song, will always remind me of „Drive“ (2011).

R.I.P.

Haven't seen much of her but she seems to lean quite heavily on observational and identity based comedy which is very popular right now but I don't really enjoy. Not wanting to blame the Americans for literally everything but I think they are responsible to some extent in this case. I like slightly surreal and esoteric humour or absurd parody which I realise typing it out now makes me seem a bit pretentious and smug and is of course purely subjective. For example I much prefer the first couple of seasons of South Park when it was more surreal and scatalogical than satircal.

I'm not a big fan of Kumar or Jones either but they're obviously popular and sell tickets, so people obviously like them as comedians and not just because they're disabled or an ethnic minority.

Oddie I just think was of his time.

Kings of the defensive short kings

I only heard the club first denying the news.
Milan legend. Just seen they played in Serie B briefly in his early years.

Relegated in 1980 along with Lazio due to a match fixing scandal. Surprised by that sort of thing in Italy

It's nice to know that in modern times they've learnt their lessons from decades ago...

Not sure there's ever been a better back four than Tassotti, Costacurta, Baresi and Maldini

Thomas, Faes, Vestergaard and Choudhury.

It’s close but I would just come down on the side of the Italians

Yes. Thought we had a chance when Lenny got our equaliser but Keegan had other ideas. Saw him play against West Ham too when in London with my Hammers mate.

Also saw him at Old Trafford in the first semi-final 0-0. Red Rum won the National that day and I was in a car crash :o

Glen Hansard, the Irish musician, actor and campaigner has died tragically at the age of 56, in a motorcycle accident. He's probably best known as the star of the Oscar nominated film, Once, and he won a Best Original Song Oscar for the track, Falling Slowly.

Possibly my favourite musical. Great songs.

His band, the Swell Season are well worth checking out.
