Boro win 4-1 over Cradley Town to go back top of the league, 402 in attendance with Lee Carsley in attendance again! i take he's come to watch his son Callum... don't think England are getting that desperate for choices... though Trevor Edwards is having a decent season for the Boro.

They are called Nuneaton Town!

Big game next Wednesday v Bilston - decent ground Bilston as well. The 'town' as such is something out of medieval times though

There are called Nuneaton Town by official paperwork, but Boro to fans. It's bit like Leicester City we call them the "foxes" but is foxes in their name?

Fantastic results for harborough, kettering and Hednesford.

Hoping for Harborough v Kettering in round 2... i know both fans would hate that but it would be a tasty derby that guarantees a non league club in round three.

Edit: im wrong Hednesford got knocked out, thought i heard they won... but cracking result for Gainsborough.

The magic of the FA Cup. Looks like it was a belting game of footy.

Harborough Town have just signed Sandro......ex Spurs, West Brom, Brazilian International Sandro !

He retired last year, only 35.

No idea how this has happened.

Do these stunts ever work out well?

Rarely. But imagine the buzz as a semi pro footballer you’d get playing with someone like that.

Chances are they’ll lose the FA Cup tie and he’ll leave.

First thought was I feel rough for the local lad that gets benched or missed out just for this blokes payday.

Harborough gaffer has a box at Spurs and become pally with Sandro. He’s also not taking a wage for it… fair play to him

Not taking a wage 🤔😅

Harborough have a massive budget this season, wouldn’t be surprised knowing that many of them aren’t local lads. I’m sure someone will know more on that than me though.

Majority are still local or have been with them a while. The core of them are Leicester lads.

There may be a couple of 'local' Harborians in the squad, I'm not sure to be honest.

It's only very recently that Harborough have been debt free & started paying players, which in itself means the net is cast wider.

I know they were ambitious & the then Chairman (he was involved at Bournemouth & still works for The FA, l believe) had a 'vision' of where he wanted the club to go.

He would regularly say this at meetings.

As I've said before it's a very well ran club, great facilities, function room, huge junior section etc.

It's built up over time, carefully & with a lot of thought.

Yes, it may all fall apart eventually, who knows, but the signs are good so far.

Absolutely wild. Not that long ago I was watching them when a lad I know was in the First XI puffing away on 10 Marlboro Lite pre-match before spending the game sweating out the night before in the Nags!

At least a couple I know/vaguely remember from school.

Got to accept it'll crash down at some point but us Harborough folks have got to enjoy the ride for now after decades of not having a decent football team.

Lets just hope they still have a club after the money goes.

Tbf they’re sat on a massive acreage of pitches that are rented out/used across youth teams, women’s teams, vet teams etc., they did a piece in the Non-League Paper that suggested they’re making good turnover on that alone.

The club was always built on a solid youth structure (it was a junior-only club at times in the past) so I think there'll always be something there.

It’s great to see. Hopefully they’ll put on a good show, maybe even get through. It’ll be a great occasion for the club and the town nonetheless.
