It does happen - European Football no less.

 

This is insane. Last night, 16 year old Michael Noonan scored on his Shamrock Rovers debut in the UEFA Conference League… Becoming the youngest EVER goalscorer in European club competition history

Was the winning goal too… Away at Molde in Norway. What’s even crazier is that he travelled back to Ireland last night, and returned to school this morning

Imagine that feeling going back to school after making history… Even the teachers gonna be treating him like royalty

Been doing a social media stalk of Monga (yes I’m browsing 16 year old’s Instagrams pretty odd behaviour)

 

Noticed a couple of other players that were signed to adidas around the same time as Monga - Luqman Aideed and Bismark Owusu.

 

Any word on these guys?

He's got 9 goals in 11 in the PL2, another 2 in the PL Cup, 2 in 1 game in the FA Youth Cup and played 1 game for the U18s in the league and scored twice.

 

Will be interesting to see if he comes through as a winger or striker, not actually sure what his best position is yet. Seems equally as devastating right wing, left wing or centrally.

Both highly regarded too. The years of dedicated work from our success as a club will bear fruits from our academy. Still strive for perfection and plenty we could do better at but the hard work will pay off.

Got back from his trip early this morning so had enough time to get down to Essex for this one

Maybe he was with firsts incase needed him but when clear he wasn’t needed went with the 18s as 21s were away last night weren’t they?

Monga should of been on the bench. What's the point in sticking 2 crap centre backs on there.

Right wing or upfront I think - can play on the left as well

 

I think where he plays tends to depend on whether someone else like King or Monga are in the team

 

A front 4 with the below would be filthy:

 

Evans, Briggs, Monga

               King

So he's performing consistantly in a position that we've got a crisis in? Even if he didn't socre he's immediately add balance to the right hand side that we've lacked since Abdul got injured.

Calmness and composure personified, that. Most other players go for power and sky it or have it blocked.

I'm certainly not going to compare him to Nwaneri, but... he's doing exactly the same things in the same position, and I imagine Nwaneri was doing those things against similar opposition and Arteta took a punt.

 

I just WISH we'd just give it one go, one start, we've got nothing to lose on Friday.
