I’m guessing we’re all rooting for Denmark given our Lester boys in the team?

I'm half of each so a bit split on this. Buuut I generally support the underdog so I'll be rooting for Germany

Always good to have the host nation progress further plus Denmark are nearly as boring as England.

Germany should have too much.

Reckon Schmeichel will frustrate them but they'll nick one towards the end.

Clive Tyldesley will commentate his final game for ITV this Saturday - ending a legendary 28 year-run with the broadcaster.

Taking his place will be Eniola Aluko.

Sad to hear but presume last line is made up ?

Seems it wasn’t his choice either .

Aluko as the commentator, not a pundit?

Will be good to see how vesty does against some quality players

Also let’s see what damage Victor can do since it’s highly likely he’d back in our squad for next season.

On the FOX pregame, Daniel Sturridge trying to get Peter Schmeichel to talk about Kasper’s play and how Peter helps him in his preparation. Love that Peter doesn’t take the bait and says he leaves his son alone about his play, unless Kasper asks for something. Old news, but still refreshing to hear.

Watching this VT of Denmark 92. Would a modern team simply not be up to scratch in terms of fitness if an international team were called up a few weeks before the tournament? Or would it even matter with the season finishing so late these days?

Eni Aluko would make a disastrous commentator. Itv truly are the pits (Coronation St and Ally McCoist aside).

Tyldesley needs to give it a rest. Iirc he made that excruciating social media monologue when removed as lead commentator.

Now he's grizzling his 28 years are up.

He's been an excellent commentator over the years and been handsomely rewarded for it. Go gracefully man.
