I wonder if we knew Brad Young was going out to be the number 2 keeper? Can't see him making it here anyway but it would have been nice to be able to sell him off the back of a good loan, its something the rich clubs do a lot of and it really helps with PSR

I don't think he's going to be worth that much even with a decent loan.

Highly doubt we would get any fee .

Would have needed to go to at least League 1 as first choice for us to get any kind of fee. Most clubs in League 1/2 still don't pay transfer fees, or when they do, it's not often exceeding a couple of hundred grand (probably equivalent of Young's wages)

again though if we start selling multiple players from the academy for that fee it soon adds up

it would be interesting to see what offers we had for them and if it was him that said no

He didn't say no.... Club was too late allowing players to go out. Club couldn't close a deal for him.

both have been away with England U20s this week so won't have trained with their sides much

Yeah Nelson's first training session ever with Oxford  would have been Thursday

Hopefully the new manager likes Cannon…

Peter Cavanagh one of their coaches who was a big reason Cannon went to Stoke has also left

You'd hope so, would be another big kick for him if another coach doesn't fancy him.

this is weird, they looked to be going in the right direction. They won’t be the last club to get a job done on them by Oxford.

Fans are fuming, sounded like they were all fully behind him. It's either a fallout or they've been tapped up by an out of work manager with a fancy powerpoint!

You're right about Oxford too, another good manager they've found themselves there.

The better half was massively impressed again with Souttar yesterday for the Blades. Sounds like he's quickly becoming a fan favourite there, she also remarked how exciting it is to have so many young players coming through there, then asked if Leicester had anyone worth getting excited about. She had definitely clocked on to what buttons to press

The Nelson loan is an odd one. Many were calling for him to be in our match day squad, yet struggling to get in the pitch for Oxford atm

Has to be playing.

Surely Oxford United don’t have any better centre backs.

And he will be a main stay in our side next season in the championship, after we get relegated.

They've had a good start to the season and their existing defenders have barely put a foot wrong. It's hard to break in under those circumstances. If LCFC hadn't waited till the very last minute to let him go it might be a different story by now.
