Eh, in all seriousness, someone whose baggage is already out in the open might be less of a liability than someone with skeletons in the closet.

 

Whilst the Caen accusation is pretty grim, he was 15 himself at the time he left their academy six years ago. 

 

And neither allegation from three years ago came with charges.

In terms of the football side of things, I can’t say I’m surprised that Lens are willing to let him leave. They signed him last summer for a big fee to replace Lois Openda, he came with big expectations after looking like one of the best striker talents in Ligue 1 while at Montpellier, but throughout last season he failed to live up to expectations. He had many games last season where Lens fans were really disgruntled with his performances, his finishing especially at times was abysmal. 
 

He is also the type of striker I wouldn’t really associate with holding the ball up and linking play. He is more of a poacher who relies on quick movement in the box and running in behind. 
 

Maybe his price tag at Lens weighed on him too heavily, with pressure affecting his performances. At Montpellier his finishing was arguably one of his strongest assets, while at Lens his finishing at times was very snatchy and became a weak point.

In October 2021, a 22-year old woman filed a legal complaint against Wahi for violence that resulted in her being incapable to work. She claimed that he had punched her in the nose during an evening out at the L'Entrepôt nightclub in Lattes, Hérault, on the night of 12–13 September a month earlier.[21]

 

In November 2021, investigative reporter Romain Molina revealed an allegation that Wahi had been expelled from Caen's youth academy for pressuring secondary school students to masturbate in front of him in the bathrooms.[22][6]

 

Sounds amazing get him in!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure we would all take Summerville and I think he was kicked out of his previous club for assaulting a coach.

Wes Morgan and Danny Drinkwater are drink drivers. Jamie Vardy committed assault and racially abused someone. As you say, Danny Simpson assaulted his girlfriend.
