moore_94 Posted 7 August 2024 Posted 7 August 2024 Time to spend a few more weeks chasing a player who only wants to go to another club Lens rejects Marseille's first offer - 20M € excluding bonuses - for Elye Wahi Lens, who paid 30M € to buy him last season, does not want to lose money in this operation West Ham and Leicester are interested but Elye Wahi wants to play at OM

However, the northern club has set its conditions and wants to be intractable. It was the big shot of the Lens mercato last season. Recruited for 30 million euros from Montpellier, Elye Wahi (21) had to compensate for the loss of Loïs Openda just recruited by RB Leipzig. A heavy recruit for the Artesian club who finally had a mixed first exercise with 12 goals and 4 offerings in 36 matches where he will have shone more on the European scene. Given a financial situation that pushes the club to sell, RC Lens is therefore open to a sale of Elye Wahi and the Premier League is on the lookout. Chelsea, West Ham or Leicester are in the tray to snatch his signature. In France, Olympique de Marseille is also trying its luck to bring another offensive solution to Roberto De Zerbi. A destination that seduces the player who would agree to wear the white and blue jersey next season. Two offers refused, Lens asks for €35 million However, concluding the transfer will not be an easy task for the Phocaeans. The latter thus drew a first offer with a paying loan of €2 million and a purchase option set at €18 million. Lens immediately refused this approach. Marseille then returned to the charge with an upwardly revised proposal, but it was also refused. According to our information, the Racing Club de Lens does not want to give up control in these negotiations and has set its conditions. Inflexible, the northern club wants a dry transfer and opposes any assembly including a loan for next season. Lens also wants a sum of between 30 and 35 million euros, an amount higher than what was disbursed a year ago. Marseille should return to the charge. It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to convince the Artesians.
Pliskin Posted 7 August 2024 Posted 7 August 2024 Probably not worth the risk given his track record of pissing about in the showers.
Lambert09 Posted 7 August 2024 Posted 7 August 2024 tbf to wahi, nobody will question his background at OM when they’ve just signed greenwood
Foxes1 Posted 7 August 2024 Posted 7 August 2024 We will know on Saturday if we are interested in him when / if he plays against us, can see it now he plays and Faes does him in the first minute and puts him out for the season.
Foxy_jim Posted 7 August 2024 Posted 7 August 2024 So basically another decent player that doesn't want to be here, running theme of the whole summer. Oh but we splashed most of our budget in a CB we didn't need that no one ever heard of.

If Faes can get anywhere near him I'm not sure we want him. 1

If you’ve played in Man City’s academy and have had a bum slap from a bald man you’re worth 10million minimum. No need to prove yourself anymore 1

OadbyBlue Posted 9 August 2024 Posted 9 August 2024 He’s actually a fantastic player, and the level we should be looking for in a new striker to lead the line in the premier league, (I don’t think either Datro Fofana or Bilal Toure are there yet). Absolute knob of a person by the sounds of it though.
Foxes1 Posted 11 August 2024 Posted 11 August 2024 Have we signed him yet or doesn't he want to come here anymore after yesterday's shit show at Lens, I know I wouldn't.
