Yeah - noticed that

Turkey will ban them - Turkey and Israel have very poor relations atm and I’d expect Israel to ban fans from travelling too

I wonder if uefa will decide to move the game because I can’t see how Turkey can guarantee the safety of the players, given erdogan’s rhetoric

Banned or just.... i dunno... removed because they shouldn't be in the competitions in the first place?*

*before anyone bites me I share the same sentiment about teams from Russia... Azerbaijan... etc etc

Could you see them playing against teams in Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia?

So by this definition I take it you feel that Israel's actions over the last year has been justified? - not a case of - you flick me and I'll destroy your entire family, community and then some?

Not all of them - no.

but I don’t believe anything that comes out of Gaza on all sides (unless it’s accepted by both parties) so it’s impossible to make an informed judgement.  Let’s see how the ICJ gets on with South Africa’s 500 boxes of evidence.  it took them a long time to get it all together and they asked for an extension beyond end October.  not sure how many boxes they felt they needed! I think it’s pretty certain that there will be some breaks of international law but how the court views those is is down to the judges.  I doubt there are many wars in history where neither side hasn’t  broken international law to some extent.  But most won’t come to the ICJ for various technical reasons. (Mostly jurisdiction).

I doubt we’ll ever know everything that’s gone on in Gaza, even when this is over.

(not sure what your definition of a flick is but it isn’t mine.)

i took a couple of weeks away from this thread and it’s probably best I do it again. Otherwise someone will post something they probably shouldn’t and then it will get locked which denies everyone the chance of discussing other stuff.

Welllllll... turns out you can make it up, and it's the first twenty pages/minutes of a disaster movie/novel.

But in all seriousness, @Daggers brand of "action directe" becomes harder and harder to refute as an option given the corruption and the ticking clock.

 Eh?

He's been very openly pro-israel response. Sadly.

If you're happy with the numbers, which you've repeatedly shown over the last year, in that the murder of 1000 is fairly met with the murder of 45,000 and the ethnic cleansing of over a million people in Northern Gaza then you should be fine with what happened in Amsterdam. A small group of Israelies battered an Arab taxi driver and set fire to a Palestine Flag, the following night the locals retaliated by battering a tonne of Israelis. Perfect justification and completely fair if we are going by your take on Gaza.

I don’t know what the numbers are

you don’t know what the numbers are

I don’t know how the last two days evolved

neither do you

more info is coming out which possibly makes things more nuanced

if Israelis are fair game to be be beaten up because they are Israelis (in your opinion) then fine

what about the British guys ?  I commented this morning that there is a huge difference between people being beaten because they are Israeli football fans and because they are Jewish.  If you can’t see the difference then you strongly prove the point why the state of Israel is required and should be protected by Jews at all costs.

one day, I or my descendants won’t be welcome to live here - that’s ok, we’re used to it - it’s happened to us many times over the past millennia.    I just hope that some of you guys have somewhere to go to if it happens to you.

I am now leaving this thread (I did it earlier but couldn’t let your two posts pass - especially the one where you are sad that someone has the temerity to make what you consider to be pro Israel posts ).

1. If you're going to continue to go down that road then I have no sympathy. Sure, we don't know exact numbers, but by using your own eyes it's pretty apparent literally everybody on earth knows a good estimate of the numbers. Are you struggling to turn your TV on at night and are unable to see the total devastation of an entire region? Anybody trying to justify the Israeli response at this point must have an agenda.

2. Are you classing the taxi driver doing his job as a football fan? Was the removal of a Palestinian flag from a second floor residency football related? I'm confused.

3. Dramatism to justify your hatred of Gaza and Palestinians, nice. Remember after 9/11 and 7/7 how Muslims were suddenly treated in Western countries by a proportion of the population? The reaction by some to what Israel are doing is no different and is equally wrong.

4. Consider to be pro-israeli? You've done nothing but justify the murder of Palestinians and the destruction of Gaza for a year. lol

As for your statement "if Israelis are fair game to be beaten up for being Israeli in your opinion then fine", well that is remarkable. A, because it's not my opinion - I was comparing what has happened in Amsterdam to how you appear to feel about gaza and all who live in it and B, incredibly disingenuous from somebody who has evidently spent a year trying to explain how its fair game for all Palestinians to be bombed to fook, displaced and have their towns flattened for erm...being Palestinian?.

I think it’s really insulting to holocaust and other Jewish genocide victims, for a bunch of Israeli thugs to cause provocative mayhem in a foreign city then hide behind the anti-semitism tag. Where is their shame?

70% women and children.

that leaves 30% male. Say 20% are non-Hamas. That leaves 10% killed who fall into the Hamas bracket. There’s “a right to defend” and then there’s indiscriminate killing. We are in the latter.

Yeah but the auntie’s cousin’s sister’s dog walked past someone in Hamas 15 years ago, so they’re justified!

Tbf I also suggested that climate activists take over a nuclear launch control centre, get the codes and hold the world to ransom to save it, so I get it. :D
