Yeah it was absolutely bizarre and a straight red for me. No one doing that action is doing it solely with the intent of winning the ball. Completely unnatural and ridiculous tackle.

I can see why a red wasn’t given as there probably wasn’t a clear chance to score but keepers have been sent off before for that sort of thing .

 

The Martinez tackle was dangerous and out of control .

 

It’s all subjective of course but another ref  or VAR might consider red cards for both.

All it takes is a few panning crowd shots at the KP to realise that most of our fanbase don’t have any form of protest or significant anti-board chants in them.

 

Away from home is a completely different story from rows L upwards.
