That’s good for Everton means they’ll have a night game for the rearranged fixture

I think they’d have fancied 70mph winds and driving rain tbh.

For all the fantasy footy players there's still time to change your captain from Salah!

That is before any other games are off .

They were rank against Bournemouth and if you support them the inconsistency must be maddening and depressing in equal measure but are Spurs actually that far off where you would expect them to be? Their squad it seems to me is much closer to e.g. Newcastle, Villa and Brighton than it is to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. 6th would be about par and though it looks bad being below some of the teams above them, they're two points off and that's with a pretty heavily depleted squad that isn't exactly stacked with quality to begin with.

Their fans are understandably desperate for trophies and success but Levy and co. either don't give a shit about that or have no idea how to attain it - unless they bring in someone genuinely world class, what is a new manager realistically going to produce that all the others under that ownership haven't?

Maybe that is all nonsense and the equivalent of when thicko pundits/neutrals give us the "well what do they expect? Be careful what you wish for" treatment but they're always talked about as a team who should obviously be Champions League regulars and trophy winners and I can't see it.

Agree about Spurs as about 6th. Last won the league in 1961 but back in the day a club that regularly won the F A or League Cup and the odd UEFA or Cup Winners Cup. As someone who remembers this the near 17 year wait for a trophy must seem an eternity for Spurs fans. Especially as over the last 25 years Chelsea have displaced them as the challengers to Arsenal as the best side in London

You're not winning the league

I don't think we will either, not without a decent striker.  However, Liverpool have a tougher fixture list than us and this postponement will not help.

I just think Arsenal are always capable of an unexpected blow up. You'll look good for 6 or 7 games and then out of nowhere you'll lose back to back to the likes of Palace and west ham

Can see most games being called off today

Anything within the yellow weather warning area will be fine. It’s just the red and amber where it’s dangerous

Our first 11 is as good as anyones, unfortunately several of our 12-24 are just not adequate enough replacements.

Defo will help them more. They have 5 fit defenders, first choice keeper and Jota injured and Mcallister suspended. After a v tough run including being run around at newcastle on weds. You don’t wanna go to a pumping goodison in driving wind and rain after they’ve just had a big home win. This is a big boost for Liverpool. The Stoke set piece coach and Pep would love a free weekend in this fixture pileup to work with their players

It'll probably depend on how badly local transport has been affected. If its an area where you're getting trees blown down and obstructing or crushing cars, then the police may force a postponement, whether it's yellow warning or not.

I think Liverpool would have had more than enough to beat a pretty rank Everton team.

The rags have McKenna as potential replacement at Spurs if they pull the trigger on Ange, which would be quite interesting.

I doubt Spurs will but if they did would it be a huge surprise to find McKenna as their #1 target and then would McKenna jump mid season?

Surely Spurs aren’t looking at him due to this seasons showing so they are going off championship potential would be very risky considering I imagine they could entice a bigger name.

Then McKenna himself, seems loyal to Ipswich so big call to leave them in the lurch but also his stock, weird saying that as Spurs (potentially) after him, must be dropping and Spurs aren’t looking at part of that 7. Yes if Ipswich dropped and they shock hands for him to depart would he get a top 7 pick, I’d say not so big call if it was to happen in January.

Spurs is a manager’s grave yard.  How many of their ex managers go on to bigger and better things. Off the top of my head, Mourinhi is now in Turkey, Pochettino in charge of the US team and Villas-Boas who is still quite young has given management up entirely. 🤣🤣

Not sure why you think that's that outrageous. You've probably got the fourth best team. We've been here a million times before, Man City will blatantly go on a surge. Chelsea will keep getting better. You're not catching Liverpool.

I would n’t bet against Man City, but without Rodri and big players such as Foden in a slump, or De Bruyne too injury prone I can’t see it.  Chelsea have clearly improved, but like Liverpool they have some really tough away fixtures left.

McKenna is so Brighton if Hurzeler moves on.
