Madueke coming out post match and being very complimentary of Saints. That’s a second person associated with a “big team” being complimentary to them.

Was it Sir Alex who said to Pulis that if the big teams come to you and compliment you, you’re doing it wrong.

That second Chelsea goal, after they’ve got it 1-1 at home is sackable,

Southampton already look gone for me. They're nowhere near it and I don't even think a change of manager would help, if they can even get a decent boss in when they're rock bottom with 5 points from 42.

Happy campers then, eh @The Bear?

Easy for me to say but the W abuse towards O'Neill is very harsh. Seems a decent bloke and, I'm sure, is doing his absolute best for the club. It's obviously gone wrong as it nearly always does for most managers and a change is clearly needed. Suppose the manager always gets lambasted as it's part of the highly paid job but I'm not sure he deserved that.

Reckon the current top-three in the Championship would be on more points than them now, despite those clubs probably going straight down next season if they all get promoted come the end of the season.

The board has to take some of the blame. They've sold about £200m worth of players and you have to question how well they've been replaced.

It's not dissimilar with Wolves, really.

They've sold Kilman, Neto, Podence, Nunes and Neves in the last two seasons. As we've learned all too well, it's difficult to keep selling players of that calibre and find like-for-like replacements.

Kilman, Podence and Nunes were all average at best. Podence was a fanny of a player who barely played, and Nunes had zero outstanding qualities other than self interest. One of those "what is he actually good at?" midfielders.

Only Kilman was playing regularly out of those and we had a better defender in Mosquera waiting to replace him. It's a shame he got injured for the season so soon into his big chance at the Prem. Even Santi Bueno has stepped up and looked better than Passive Max.

Our defensive issues are one of setup and organisation, not individuals. Before any one mentions it.

That's a fair point. Those defenders are certainly not 'conceding nearly three goals a game' bad.

Not singling Wolves out here, but football is weird isn't it when grown men shout abuse at people because they've lost a game of football lol

Especially when you're only a couple of bad results away from this happening.

It's probably because those grown men have spent upwards of a month's mortgage/ rent per year to watch their team and expect to be entertained for that.

I thank my lucky stars that we didn't turn to Martin when we got relegated. The bloke would do my head in. Lost 5-1 with the captain chucking it in and he comes out and says how proud he is of the performance?

People were saying the same about Cooper for us. No one should really comment on how the fans of other clubs (particularly those who have travelled away midweek) act towards their players/manager, because they don't have a horse in the race. If a fanbase en masse like that want a manager out, it's probably the right thing for the club.

People were absolutely wanting Cooper replaced, me included, but I didn't hear that level of personal abuse directed at him. Or even at Rodgers.

All feels a bit unnecessary.

We're the exception, not the rule. Look at West Ham the other night, 3300 singing sacked in the morning.

I think what particularly annoyed them in this video was O'Neill telling his players to go inside and not even holding his hands up to the fans.

It was basically "sod this, lets get out of here"

Even if he didn't intend it that way, it's how it looked.

I'm gutted for him, I was convinced he was the next big thing but as @The Bear says there's still some great quality in that squad and they should be doing better... Kilman has clearly shown how dreadful he actually is.

It's because our fanbase is full of wet flannels who think we should have been grateful to pay £60 to watch Cooperball / Brendanball 'because we were in league one once '.

Those same fannies then leave on 75 minutes, unless we're being relegated in which case they make an exception to stay behind and clap underperforming millionaires off the pitch.

We are uniquely placid as a fanbase.

That's because 99.9% of our fan base don't know any managers other than big Sam and if you dare suggest we should change the manager at the game you get 6 geriatrics asking you who should replace him before repeatedly screaming who over and over again.

For the most part of this season I’ve been struggling to find 3 teams with a worse squad than ours. Compounded recently by the long term injuries to Ricardo and Fatawu.

I have been waiting for Crystal Palace and Wolves to surge past us and the only team I was expecting to be in the mix with the promoted teams was Everton.

The Everton 4 Wolves 0 game has perhaps made me start to reevaluate. Maybe Wolves could be the Leicester of 22/23. You also never know how much extra Dyche can get out of scant resources. He’s become the modern day Allardyce.

At least our league position and the appointment of Ruud has helped me to retain some hope, but I still think the season might be defined by what the teams in the relegation mix do in January

****ing lolz at the state of a couple of the goals Southampton conceded last night.

Keep it up! You keep doing you!

It's ok - Martin was still proud of them.

I mean yes I know managers don't like to hammer   players in public and have to protect them as so many cannot take a ticking off too well but don't look a total fool.
