Forest have built a talented team and have a wily manager but they have been lucky.

Wood has 18 goals from 11 xG. On expected points they're 11th.

We used to 'be lucky'.

xG nonces weren't really around on 2015 but I imagine if they had been we'd have set records that wouldn't have yet been broken.

Just had a quick look on their forum, interesting how many of their fans want Maresca out now. Not won an away game since December which is mad for a club like Chelsea.

I doubt he will be there in 12 months, quite possible a lot less, he just can't move from his entrenched view of keeping the ball is everything...it is not as we know from 15-16

Ref watch is funny lol

Dermot Gallagher basing his decision on the Harrison Everton penalty on the players reaction. What about each player that dives? If it was all based on reaction then every penalty gets given?

Having said that they've gone on to say how analysed each game is and it's become like 'CSI' trying to find something to scrutinise. Which everyone can agree with...

Ivan Jurić on his way out ?

Southampton already planning for next season or just going to get a temporary manager in ..

Jurić sacked as soon as Southampton are mathematically relegated. If the same thing doesn't happen with us, we'll know the intention is to keep RVN next season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t immediately sack him but instead wasted a few months of valuable time, then sent him packing.

We sack mangers after international breaks

Nope, we were about the 3rd or 4th best side in the league on xG. https://understat.com/league/EPL/2015

We created good chances and conceded few. Forest are a decent side running incredibly hot at the top end of the pitch.

I think Marinakis and the backroom staff deserve credit because they’ve changed things up and recruited well - they’re a bit more chaotic but that’s a better way to run a club than what we do, whatever model or method that is

Forest’s style of play looks like it will be pretty unsustainable, it’s similar to how ours was when we won the league.

Eventually you have to develop to be the more dominant team in the game, whether that’s through ball retention or having a high press that’s hard to play through that you stop the other team at source.

Forest might be able to transition to the latter but they’ll need a more mobile centre-forward than Wood and a bit more quality in centre midfield to make that happen.

I think Juric has probably let himself out to be fair. Popped over the the UK for 6 months whilst still likely being paid by Roma, might have made a good enough impression to convince other prem teams to give him a go.... didn't so will quietly go away now and end up back in Europe.

How long is RvN contract? Juric was only on an 18-month so probably didn't cost much to sack.

Juric probably had a relegation break clause, hence why it’s happened so quick after the event.

RVN might have the same, he’s on a 3 year deal though, so probably not cheap if he doesn’t.

Relegation release clause apparently so wouldn't have cost them anything

As I mentioned before, there is 6m difference up for grabs for finishing 18th or bottom, there is a real chance on missing out on that depending on who Southampton get and keeping RVN.

Southampton won’t hire now I wouldn’t have thought, it’ll be interim coach internally then they’ll hire someone to start in pre-season, surely?

Southampton board is turd too but this line was good....

With relegation to the Championship now confirmed, we believe it is important to give fans, players and staff some clarity on the future as we head into a very important summer.

You think Rudkin has enough foresight to do that? I don’t!

Yeah I think he’ll probably be there next season, think it goes without saying McKenna will still be Ipswich manager and they’ll probably be best placed to bounce straight back up (they’ll probably only lose Delap).

We’ll probably end up with a free agent, I can’t see how RvN’s position will still be tenable after relegation.

I genuinely think Russell Martin will probably be our manager next season, although many fans won’t like it.

He's pretty much nailed on to leave Wednesday after the last week there, so Southampton would not be a surprise considering their links to him previously.

Am I right in thinking Rohl hasn't been paid? Or was it admin staff?

If it's him as well then Sheff Weds have breached his contract so Saints might be acting now to get him for free?

All staff and youth team players have been paid, supposedly just the first team players

For about six months. He has a link with them, sure, but it's been a little overstated by some people.
