Well only one thing really counts doesn’t it .,

Trouble football has become obsessed with stats particularly possession based ones .

I'm sorry, but anyone watching this who thinks Forest are anywhere near Newcastle in terms of quality wants sectioning.

Bilo to go 5 seconds without posting about Forest challenge (IMPOSSIBLE!!)

6th, I think. Chelsea's run-in is rank.

Forest will do a Leicester.  Top 4 all season and then drop to 5th on the last day of the season.  They just get that bit of luck that means 5th is good enough.

They are honestly nothing just a reasonable defence, efficient. I think it works because everyone else is obsessed with stats based football. Newcastle and City are a different class. Also Notts fans are utterly classless they’d bang on about it for the next 75 years insufferable *****.

That penalty from Eze was a disgrace. Surely a top level footballer should be able to leather it in a corner without needing to play cat and mouse with the goalkeeper.

Forest will finish 5th at the lowest. Teams in and around them still have to play each other. Forest also have games against teams with very little to play for…. Us, Palace, West Ham, Brentford.

Genuinely think Newcastle might win the league next season.

All depends on the psr situation. If they can keep their best players and add to the squad then they have a decent shot.

Salahs age might catch up to him, these things tend to happen without warning.

Man City might have another year of transition, or some form of punishment.

Chelsea, spurs, Man U in shambles

Arsenal no better prepared for a title charge than them.

certainly wouldn’t write it off as a foolish shout. The problem for them would be how they could juggle the champions league with it, which last time effected their league form drastically

This isn’t sour grapes or wishful thinking but I genuinely do believe Forest finish 6th this season and do what we did in 2020 and 2021.
Newcastle look formidable, Man City will find a way to get enough points. Then I think now Villa are out of Europe they can put their foot down and catch the 3 points up to Forest.
That said, the next two games for Villa are huge.
Chelsea are Chelsea and **** knows what they’re doing

They’ve sorted themselves out off the pitch big time

Goes under the radar but they were a complete car crash under Amanda Staveley and now they’ve got an actual structure

Yep.

Forest's performances seem to be dipping at the worst possible time and they look nervous just as teams around them are hitting their stride.

If anything, the results of Newcastle last night, Villa beating PSG and Arsenal winning at the Bernabeu shows how far away they are.

Only thing they've got on their side is over the next couple of weeks the sides around them play each other

This is true, but I think the Everton game shows they have it in them to drop points you'd expect a side in their position to get. Brentford, Palace, Spurs and Chelsea are all potential banana skins.

You'd look at the sides around them and think they'll pick up pretty much every point they need to overhaul Forest when not playing one another.

No, I think it is more that established Premier League clubs want to make it virtually impossible for promoted clubs to compete. We would have been the same years ago. They have closed the loophole (that should never have been there in the first place). Ourselves, Everton and Nottingham Forest knew what we were doing so no sympathy but there is no doubt we are all a victim of timing where the Premier League want to be shown to be "tough".

Clubs have seen points deductions coming in for strugglers which makes their life easier. They have also seen clubs sell car parks and women's teams to comply and be allowed so why vote against that when you could use it at some point?

I think all these 115 charges have been brought at the behest of AFC, Man Utd and Liverpool. The PL are trying to find a way of not being too humiliated. The PL are spending at least £130m taking their own clubs to court.
I really hope Man City sue all these ‘journalists and pundits’ who have been telling lies.

You "really hope" that a club owned by the royal family of a country sue members of the free press in the UK?

Yes I do… some of the abuse the so called serious journalists have written over 2 years is awful. When Man City are cleared they will say it’s brown envelopes filled with cash.

The actual charges are about 4 but 115 sounds better.

All this has been driven by the red cartel because they don’t like other clubs taking over their league.

The fact they're going to get a CL place for the second year in three proves they are just a good team in their own right. I also don't think anybody else looks 'that' great. Liverpool have definitely downturned in the last couple of months and I don't feel they'll hit the same heights - largely assisted by a ridiculous run from Salah. Arsenal are good but never quite manage to get over the line. Man City are the biggest worry but there's every chance they have peaked under Guardiola, they aren't what they were. Chelsea 2.0 are no threat for the title. Man Utd & Spurs are nowhere close. Then you're looking at someone like Villa.

It's a long shot but I'll be interested to see the odds on it. They've a lot going in their favour. An already good team that haven't really gone mad in recent windows. They get this summer right, I think they have a real chance.

Forest still get over the line I think unfortunately. The fixtures suit them. If we had a squad with a jot of fight in it that would be a banana skin, but nobody at this club values that so we'll just roll over and hand them 3 points on a plate.
