Maybe, but it doesn't necessarily mean he is contributing well to the team, especially if it is meaning other players (JJ) have to get shoehorned in elsewhere

 

Some of those performances even if we win he was definitely a hinderance than a benefit to the team

That's all well and good but our ppg without Jordan James starting is nearly double our ppg with him starting, so personally I'd be terminating his loan with immediate effect and building the team around the Skippmeister

That's why some stats are bollocks all you have to do is watch the game and you will see James is 10x the player of Skipp, he does **** all

I was briefly checking the Norwich forums during the match to see if they were as down on their team as we are, and Skipp was mentioned as a shadow of the player they had on loan.  He's not the player he was, even at this level.

He is chasing shadows mate, we don't need either of them in the side that's the point.

 

Just because Jonathan Rudkin paid 20m shouldn't mean he should be in the side, he offers nowt

Even the neutral commentator I had on the EFL feed was saying he wasn't sure just what Skipp added to our midfield.

Surely he has to see how much better we and JJ are with him next to Winks and not in the 10

 

Play Bobby, Ayew, Monga etc. and just leave JJ as an 8

His confidence is absolutely shattered. Playing under three dreadful managers, a club that's lost its mojo, a critical crowd and the 20m price tag around  his neck. It ain't a great recipe. 

 

I'm not expecting a transformation, but I don't think we've seen anything near his best. I watched him at Spurs. He was tidy. Wasn't out his depth. Never 20m mind you. But the player we are seeing isn't the same lad at Norwich or Spurs.

Posted this the other day but I checked his injury record and it’s done him in.

 metatarsal fracture in May 2021, which required surgery on a broken bone in his foot. Then had pelvic/groin injury/inflammation that required surgery in 2022. Then when he returned after a lengthy lay off, he got a hairline heel fracture which included a deep laceration and also secondary damage on the bone.

has ever been the same player since.

Pretty sure he has several injuries since then all you have to do is watch James and Skipp and its light and day
