Games he's started: Sheff Weds, Charlton, Birmingham, Oxford,  Middlesbrough, Norwich, Stoke (not sure why people are saying he started v Wrexham? he came off the bench that one). 24th, 13th, 9th, 21st, 2nd, 23rd, 3rd - average position: 13.5

Games he's not started: PNE, Cov, WBA, Wrexham, Swansea, Pompey, Hull, Millllll, Blackburn. 5th, 1st, 17th, 14th, 20th, 19th, 6th, 7th, 18th. Average position: 11.8.

Middlesboro and Stoke aside, he's played in the easier games (and both of those games we chanced).

Interested in how playing games against an average league position of 11.8 means he's played the easier games, when the average league position is 12.5

Trying just doesn’t do it for me.

so many times, especially in that first half where Stokes midfield found plenty of space in the middle - little pressure. If you’re trying, that’s the space in the three you’ve got to picking up.

He has no brain for it.

He gets stuck in and a couple of times got the ball forward effectively. I do think we look more fluent with James in that position but hopefully Skipp will integrate better in time. I was a bit surprised when he was replaced by Soumare I thought Bobby Reid would come in earlier and James move back.all seemed very negative

This is very interesting… correlation or causation? But is the potential implication that he clogs up the midfield and makes us more robust?

I actually think when we break it down he's the 2025 Kante

A player of Skipps (alleged) reputation, experience and cost shouldn’t need time to integrate to this standard.

He should be 4 steps ahead of the opposition, knowing where the runners and pass is going yet he chases the ball like a little puppy.

He is crap, he not even a caveman EFL clogger.

It’s not his fault though that he had a great agent that knew how to play our poor senior leadership team.

He tries his best every minute But he is not very good.Does a lot of work chasing and closing down.Would have been a good sqyad filler for a nominal fee.

We over paid but thats not his fault.

Always gets picked over Soumare, who should not be allowed anywhere near the club.

Soumare should have been sold (with wagr subsidy if necessary) 3 years ago

Holding us back still as that should be James position, with BDCR in the 10.

I guess if he carries on having a positive impact you could argue it’s Winks who should drop out for James to drop back?

No chance.

It’s not as if Winks is adding anything. At least we seem to have a decent record across the season when Skipp has been involved.

Not that I’m particularly bothered. Neither of them add anything much but one of them should be dropped for James to play deeper.

Winks is miles better than Skipp

I never said he’s not a better player. I said he is not offering us anything. Sometimes it’s not about the ‘best’ player but the team. Apparently many of our players are meant to be better than their counterparts at other clubs but that’s not been the reality on the pitch.

Our form (results wise) dropped off after a bright start when Winks was brought back in  following the transfer window. He was good under Enzo but has been crap since.

Winks and James works as proven in the game before Stoke when Skipp went off and we won the game.

It was probably more down to BDR coming in and James dropping into his stronger position to be fair. It gave us a better balance and of course, both scored.

Don’t think I am advocating for Skipp over Winks. Purely that neither offer us anything at this point. I think James deserves a better partner altogether in the middle to be fair.

Yes I head that as well I believe his exact words was “I don’t know what Skipp offers this Leicester midfield”

Matt Piper strongly disagrees praises him.every game
