Monga has than something special, he’s been taking the piss at under 21 level all season, and yet he is 15…… his next move is imperative for his development. And I genuinely don’t think going to a Man City will do him any good at all, he will end up sat on a bench until he’s 18 and then more than likely end up on loan on the states. Play a year in the championship, and then follow the footsteps Bellingham has done if need be, he needs to play, not sit in another academy.

Good comparison with Bellingham really, he could play for us next year than at the end of the season move somewhere like dortmund to be a regular.

Was it? The defenders went with Vardy and Monga…I thought shooting was the right option to be fair to BEK…

There was a defender on the left for sure which blocked Vardy, but it looked (to me at least from SK4) that there was a channel to the right to sneak the ball through to the right and feed Monga. Tight; but could’ve been better than the shot he ended up taking.

It was just a poor shot. Only the keeper to beat.

We need to get rid of ayew and bobby asap. We are sorted out wide next season. Same goes for the goalkeeper. And dare I say it, Luke Thomas the starting left back. Nelson and souttar will be fine at the back. What little money we have to spend has to go on the best striker and central midfielders we can possibly get. We don’t need any squad fillers or back up. We certainly don’t need any more “experience”. Blow the whole budget on the best striker and couple of central midfielders we can possibly get - young with a high ceiling.

Fair enough - I was watching on TV and it looked like he chose the right option…just a pretty poor execution.

I’d have to watch it back now though!

The lad has to start against the Trees he showed so much promise today great footwork going round defenders finding space, this lad is going to be superb just really hope we can keep the lad away from the big boys.

Yeah, you will have had a better view from the TV. I’m quite low down so I don’t have the best depth perception

I’m in SK1, Monga seemed the best of his three options.

I really hope there's still someone intelligent left at this club that can convince him to follow the path of Maddison, Barnes, KDH, Bellingham, Bowen, Eze, etc by fighting his way into the Championship team rather than just getting lost in a big 6 youth setup.

Given the current leadership I fear it's more likely we'll let him slip away for pennies compensation whilst paying Bobby Reid  to play his position next season though...

Give him plenty of minutes between now and the summer as he's clearly a very special talent. Going to Man City would be a terrible move at his age unfortunately, as he'd end up in and out of the youth team, most probably at a younger age bracket, having seventeen loan moves before going on a transfer to a Championship club after a few years. With us, he can be eased into the team in the Championship straight away and, hopefully, end up part of a promotion-chasing side to boost his confidence.

His strength impressed me today…he held players off quite comfortably.

Would love to see him get a lot of games in the Championship next year. Not 10 minute cameos though…regular starts.

Theoretically - could he stay, become an integral player in the championship next year, and leave for peanuts on a tribunal next summer as he can leave the club hanging on a pro deal until he’s 17? Thought of that’s pretty sickening. Presumably the club will say to him he’ll have to commit to a pro deal this summer to be a part of next season.

I’m going to keep speaking it into existence … we can get Louie Barrie for 15m! He’d be our number nine for the next 10 years if he didn’t get gobbled up by a big side.
