There are those on here who have already made their minds up about Cooper and that clearly isn't going to change. I admit he doesn't inspire much confidence in me but today we actually managed to win. A crucial win. I think we need 12 points from our first ten games to give us a fighting chance given who we are playing and that our fixtures after the first ten don't look conducive to a many points being won.

Whilst a win is welcome football is also an entertainment industry and it is hard to feel entertained when the stats back up what we see in each and every match.

From BBC website so no idea how accurate.

Shots 6 by us and 17 by them.

Just 2 shots on target though that was the same for both teams apparently.

Touches in the penalty area us 12 them 33

We didn't muster a single corner against their 9.

Whilst, of course, I acknowledge that we won today, i also don't believe you can continue through a whole season with stats like these and hope to stay up.

I think that, to a certain extent, Cooper's hands are tied.  I know he could be more attacking and use his subs more proactively but when you look at our bench it is pretty poor. Edouard, Soumare and Reid are not up to the required level and neither is Coady any longer. Vardy will do ok but is way past his best and can't play a full 90 minutes and be effective any longer and Ayew simply isn't good enough either.

The next three games are absolutely crucial and whilst I'd feel more confident with another manager in charge that won't happen after today's result and if, a big if, we can pick up 6 or 7 points from the next three he's going to have done enough to be given more time by the board. Fewer than 4 points from the next three and he has to go in my opinion.

Basically we all concede that the team have been facing a lot of shots against this season.

The interesting thing is going into todays match Bournemouth were second in that table with 3 less.

Yet for some reason at home we treated them like a top team, giving them far too much respect.

When they have been as suspect as us defending.

Yea hopefully he has the balls to try new things and not rely on Ayew all season long.

I hope we see braver display as time goes on, but don’t hold your breath about Ayew. lol

Don’t think it will do him any favours with the board as we have spent 20m on a player and he has hardly featured and surely the plan is to develop and sell at a profit but Ayew has his place who has no resale value what do ever

two players in fact

Miserable performance again.

Very happy Edouard is only on loan, he is awful.

Ayew and BDCR getting game time is a joke as well - Those two signings are almost as bad as Cooper. Utter dogshit.

Aside from that though - Great 3 points, onwards and upwards!

Hermansen - elite

Justin - best player on the pitch IMO. Multiple good blocks and very good assist.

Okoli / Faes - strong defensively but no coached plan other than them making it up on how to progress the ball.

Kristiansen - out of depth, was begging to be told what to do / replaced.

Ndidi - like his old self

Skipp - to the loo my darling. off the pace. not terrible but often late to the actiom.

Buonanotte great first half. better from the right than as no 10

Ayew - put a shift in. higher floor than Fatawu, but a lot lower ceiling. a good coach gets a tune out of the better player.

Vardy - great first half. faded as expected and edouard cant do.what he does even for 10mins. Daka will be a better alt which is horrible to think.

Mavididi - got ****ed off playing with VK and had a mardy

Soumare. somehow.got on the pitch. there have been more welcome naked male streakers.

Faes was outstanding today, Okoli was very good also.

I’m loving Okoli so far, he looks like a class act. Big, strong and brave - everything you want from your CB.

Good to get a shithouse win, those 3 pts were desperately needed. This inverted Cooperball tactic of scoring first then being ultra conservative is a lot more sensible than regular flavour Cooperball where we start ultra conservative for 60-70 minutes, concede then have to desperately chase an equaliser or consolation goal at the end. Having Ayew centrally meant the team was a lot more balanced than normal, and although he didn't do anything offensively, he did bizarrely end up doing quite a lot of important defending at times. Both centre backs had great games, and Buonanotte was an absolute star, great goal, some superb covering of Justin at the back in the second half too,  just all around great.

Some of those subs were absolutely baffling though, all the booked players were left on (until Ayew came off eventually, then Soumare came on and immediately got booked lol), no idea what the point of BdCR is when McAteer could be offering more. Maybe one glorious day we may see Stephy at LW, Buonanotte at 10 and Abdul at RW all at the same time. We all have to have dreams to keep us going.

Very good defending but awful distribution gave the he ball away so many times.

I think I’ve just witnessed the most uninspiring and frustrating LCFC team I’ve ever watched . I’ve seen worst but so were the individual players but this squad of players has enough talent to perform and entertain so much more.

An often overlooked and key aspect of the game.

Struggle with the lack of respect shown to Ayew, as he is far from flashy and on that I agree,  but  he is a grafter and does do an important job, it just isn’t scoring or assisting.

I was one of the ones who complained about him when I saw him in the starting line up.

He did ok today and has generally done ok when he’s played. The problem is, his inclusion is an example of Cooper’s negative approach. He would prefer to play him over someone who offers more threat going forward whilst also having far more potential. It’s also pretty evident that when things aren’t working, he’s slow to recognise it and make a change.

I'm getting a bit worn out by all the negativity on this forum. I'll just say this - I thought today was a good performance. Bournemouth are a good team, but we defended really well, and everyone stepped up. I haven’t seen the replay yet, but I really thought Vardy should have made it 2-0. It was crucial to get that first win anyway and hopefully we can build on it now.

I totally get this and agree, and I think part of the issue is that people are wanting to see Fatawu and Stepney bombing down the wings, ideally supported by Ricardo andJJ, but Cooper is not that guy, not that brave, even if he might think it reckless, and I hope we see more bravery after this initial win.

Plenty don’t like Ayew, for the reasons above, but he seems just what a team fighting to survive in the this league needs too me.

Bloody terrible second half. We will take the win but setting up like that all second half was a joke. Cooper didn't have any idea there and only Bounemouths piss poor finishing saved us.

Subs all over the place again as well.

Here's the Instant Match reaction from a few of us watching the game.

Great to get our first win of the season, and a clean sheet. First half was pretty decent, maybe even good. Vardy should have scored, which might have wrapped up the game.

Second half, Cooper was too negative and can't react to the game state. Bournemouth took off both fullbacks and put on Alex Scott and Sinistera, going a bit more 352, but not quite. They got more possesion of the ball and forced us back as a result, and Cooper didn't do anything to fix it. He made subs too late for me, although I feel Fatawu (finally on the right hand side!) and Reid actually did well, and killed a lot of the momentum from the Cherries.

Ultimately Cooper is a real coward of a manager. Look at the momentum bar below and think of how many shots we had in the second half... We gave all the impetus to Bournemouth, even though we ended the first half really well. This for me is disapointing, as a more progressive manager could have won that game with a convincing 2-0 win.

At the end of the day though, it's a win, and results went for us so far, making the table look really good. Currently we are on for a 32 point season though, which is a worry as I think we will need 34 at minimum and maybe more like 38 to stay up, and that's assuming the Premier League can't find any more point deduction charges to throw at us. From what I've seen, we have the squad to be a team that could get 42-45 points, but I think the manager holds us back. But we are not in the bottom 3, and that is a good thing!

Love to see the stats that show Reid did well. He lost the ball twice trying to do a silly turn in dangerous positions and didn’t offer the threat going the other way that Fatawu did.

Some nice passes in there too, but yeah, it's not his main strength. If I have the choice of a ball-playing CB who can't defend or a pure CB who's great at defending but no good on the ball, I'd choose the latter every time. Incidentally, the former could describe Wout Faes, but he was immense today, to give credit where credit's due.

they hit the woodwork and missed some sitters. All it took was for one of them going in  and it wouldn’t have been a case of ‘unlucky’ Leicester..

You are talking like an entitled bell 🛎️ e you really need to give your head a wobble ! You dont seem to realize how far we have fallen! You think we can dust off and end up challenging for Europe. Absolutely deluded
