Game of two halves that one!

 

First half was the best 45 mins we’ve played under Cooper.

 

Second half absolutely bang on his usual output.

 

Credit to the back 4, particularly Faes. Ayew made life difficult for them, Fac a player.

 

Odsonne looked like a competition winner, thank goodness he’s a loan

They had a goal disallowed and hit the bar twice, facing 17 shots at home you can’t play like that and get away with it too many times

Even first half with both sides looking lacklustre in attack and cancelling each other out. 2nd half we reverted to type. 
Justin and Kristiansen are defensively fragile and almost cost us multiple times, and offensively they don't really overlap or cut in, they both just sort of get stuck in no mans land. Justin had a good return recently offensively with goals and assists, but I'd much prefer Ricardo there for both the defensive stability and the transition on the counterattack. 
Drop Kristiansen and play Justin on the left. In the 2nd half Skipp and Ndidi both played so deep they were almost CB's and every time we got the ball and drove it forward neither of them offered support, leading to us losing the ball and once again inviting pressure. 
2nd half was not good at all from us, but overall I felt like small tweaks would have given us a lot more comfort rather than needing wholesale changes. 
Stonewall penalty not given, and Vardy struggled badly today, should have scored. 
Very frustrated by the lack of subs between 60-80 when many players looked completely out on their feet. 

Okoli, Mads and Faes were exceptional today, Ndidi made some really good tackles, and Buoanotte was fantastic. Today was one of those games where I'm not really sure how harsh to be on Cooper because he clearly put us at unnecessary risk with his lack of subs, and the fact he was happy to allow us to invite massive pressure and have 2 of our midfielders parked in our box whilst inviting Bournemouth back in over and over. 

Take the 3 points, but this really did feel like another game that delays the inevitable, especially with how simple some of the solutions appeared to me at least. We now go into 3 massive games on a high, and we have to play on the front foot.

Yea.. Odsonnes looks like a player that knows he's somehow got am extra 2 years contract extension being overpaid .. he won't break a sweat this season

a win despite Cooper's best attempts, if we want to stay up he has to go sharpish, and take Ayew, Eduoard and BdCR with him. The game management was awful, the subs were all wrong or too late. in reality, it'll be like when we smashed Cooper's forest side, buying enough time to ensure that a new manager can't turn it around

I don’t agree.

i didn’t want him as manager but I still think he’ll keep us out the bottom three come end of the season probably by skin of his teeth but that’s all that matters for this season.

Look we have scored goals under him and not lost by many.

If we had beaten Palace we would be looking comfortable.

He’s far from perfect but he’s dedicated and wanted the job when no one else did.

They did, and we had a blatant penalty turned down and missed a couple of really good chances ourselves.

Its not pretty, and nothing about this season is going to be pretty. But if you can grind out wins like that you give yourself a chance of survival.

Faes motm for me, he was everywhere. Buonanotte is different class. Huge win but still concerns over Coopers game management, we were honking second half

But I am almost there with calls for Cooper out - not sure how much longer I like to keep my patience with Cooper.

 

Cooper was saved by a moment of brilliance and the post/bar a few times today.

 

Otherwise, we played like we are away from home playing a team division higher.

 

We posed no threat whatsoever in the second half. We turned the ball over almost always instantly with no outlet to bring the ball upfield.  The worst offenders were VK and Ndidi - not surprising with Ndidi. Any moment we had in any build up was destroyed as soon as the ball got to VK (with Ndidi missing). So so poor. We could not even keep the ball for more than 20 seconds. We had no clue.  If not for the post/bar and Bournemouth failing to capitalise on the numerous chances they had, we would have dropped points once again, at home.

 

Great to get three points, but so disappointed to see how we play. Second half was the worst this season. Totally dominated by Bournemouth at home.

 

We have a decent squad but we lack any plan and team selection is poor.

 

Cooper (almost) out.

We’re a struggling team in this division, no wins we have this year are going to be playing great football and playing teams of the park. The objective is to stay up and get points on the board.
