The Bournemouth manager for me.

Pull out all the stops to get him.

He won't want a step down, nor will he leave so early in his tenure. Our relegation set is back years, and we are now seen as a promoted side rather than a established premier League side. We are below Bournemouth in stature at the moment.

Yep, this is what is so depressing now. We're now seen as a worse prospect (for a manager) than Bournemouth.

Just a silly idea after reading about Titz,   Funny names seem to work like Slot and Klopp and Pep.  There was Arsene for Arsenal so why not appoint a manager called Fox as a lucky charm  - so I did some research and found Liam Fox who is AM at Hearts, he's never left Scotland so he might see Leicester as an opportunity.   Leicester have had a fair share of Scottish managers, especially in the early days

Where ever us and Bournemouth may be placed in the league, we are not and never will be a smaller club than Bournemouth.

This is the wrong way of looking at it. Managers rarely move between PL clubs when they are in work, so a lot of the process is being available / interested at the right time. If we had a job available at the time Iraola was available or interested in moving to the PL, then i am sure we would have been just as an interesting prospect as any other bottom/mid PL club.

There would be a lot of interested good managers ready to move here. One of the problems for our board has been the insistence on PL experience. I hope from the Cooper appointment, and how well non PL managers have fared at other clubs, this might make them change their minds on this.

They both were - I was agreeing with you re Scottish managers.

Mcghee was just before my time (Martin O'Neill was my first manager).

McGhee wasn’t a disaster - he had us around the top six after having a team clearly not good enough for the top flight,  just did a shithouse move
