It just feels the supporters ambitions for the Club, are not being matched by Top, Rudkin etc if they dont have the appetite to move it forward with dedication move on, the Club and the Fans deserve better.

I think this season will be defining in that aspect.

What are the clubs ambitions ?to be a championship club they are well on their way to achieving that again.

Even the likes of Bournemouth have more ambition that us, It would be hard to argue that we have one of the worst ownership across the top 2 divisions.

I think Top cares and hearts in the right place but he needs to change those around him in this crazy world of top level football. I would like to see how they would work with someone else running the football side of things before they sold up, because you never know what the next owners could be like.

Think there are many that share this sentiment but all the evidence shows that he just isn't going to do that. They're all joined at the hip it seems.

I think he cares. This city and this stadium is the last place he saw his dad, the city and the footballing world threw their arms around him and his family at what must have been the lowest point of his life and he must have so many happy memories of the good times - even after Vichai died with the FA Cup win. It seems unlikely that he has no emotional attachment to the club and the city.

In fact, it could be argued that emotional attachment is the problem. He probably feels a misplaced loyalty to those who supported him behind the scenes in the days, weeks and months after his dad's death. He went from assistant to the boss overnight. He'll have felt overwhelmed, grief-stricken and without a clue of what to do next. Had Vichai been ill, close to retirement or slowing down, he could have prepared.

So he did what anyone would do in that situation- turned to the people his dad trusted. They supported him, grieved with him and helped him come to terms with the grief and give what had become his dad's labour of love, Leicester City Football Club, their time and expertise. It even worked for a few years. Puel left, Rodgers came in with a big reputation, took the club to heights that threatened to match what we'd done under his dad and won a trophy we'd never won before.

By now, though,  Covid had hit, devastating for the key business funding everything. Soon after, a terrible transfer window. Then relegation. Now it's all gone stale. It's a crisis he's never experienced and he doesn't have talented people around him in the football club.

What he needs is a complete reset. I don't for a second think he's selling and his Thai business interests seem to be thriving, so money is available. He needs ruthless business people, far better PR, data-driven football people and a clean sheet of paper. If he does that, this is retrievable. He's an extremely wealthy young man who cares passionately for the club and is prepared to put money into it. That's more than most have. The problem that he is appallingly advised, too emotionally attached to those giving appalling advice and seems too weak to sack them. His money has been spent poorly, the PR is atrocious, the team has declined and his credit in the bank with fans is diminished.

I doubt he sells without an insane offer unless he's in serious money trouble. Given neither of these seems likely, we have to accept that it's pie in the sky he sells. That means it's up to the fans to pressure him into making necessary changes. If we make the reasonable assumption he cares about the club and wants to keep the fans happy, and values how we supported him when the tragedy happened, he may listen to us. But we have to make him listen. It won't be easy. The club hierarchy have been there a long time and will try to shield him from the reality of fan discontent. But it's largely up to us. Otherwise all of the rhetoric that he's just the custodian and we're the real owners of the club is just that - rhetoric. If we own it, we need to take ownership and responsibility to ensure that the custodian knows his current inaction is driving us off a cliff. Last chance for him and for us before it all goes sour beyond repair, on and off the pitch.

If he cares and he's still this negligent it means he's incompetent, which also means he should leave.

Look at who Potter has brought in at West Ham, we have given Ruud the bare bones literally I hope he does walk , so we can pressure our board to sell the club , the useless charlatans.

Top needs to sell soon, solely as under his leadership we are only heading south and he will get the bigger payout from it now. In a few years when we are an average championship side he will be looking at a fire sale.

Because despite the current incompetence and lack of direction they have over the last 15 years invested and made the club infinitely better and more attractive than it ever was in its history. New owners can bring poor owners who don’t have the right intent let alone expertise and that could be the end of the club !

I would rather Top see that he needs to step up and maybe he cannot as his Dad was clearly a superb businessman and leader with maturity which only comes with experience so maybe Top can’t but I would still rather have these owners who have shown they love Leicester the City, community and our football club than a potential acquirer who could take us into the abyss!

I maybe an exception but be careful what we wish for!!!

If you’re sat around waiting for Top to suddenly start improving himself as a business then I have some magic beans to sell you my friend.

We’re in this mess because he’s incompetent, simple as that really.

Bilo, best rational comments for a long time. Puts local rag to shame. It's spot on but I do worry about the attitude of a lot of fans. Far too mild in criticism the only fans I know who boo their own player and applaud ex players. I believe fan loyalty is high but this is being trashed by Rudkin Whelan and co. The situation is as serious as I can remember in 60plus years as a Fox. I do believe Top is a good man but he needs very quickly to clear out a decrepit and unfit for purpose board. Time is rapidly running out

I like Top, but if he ever wanted to sell for the good of the club.. Elon Musk?

That could be a huge gamble but may pay off

I think a bit of sick came up. :colder:

The mental bastard would absolutely buy it too. You'd just have to tell him the word Fox has an X in it and we're sponsored by a crypto scam and he'd be on the next plane to East Midlands Airport.

To provide an argument to the Top is a good man. Personally I am not a fan of how he’s consistently surrounded this club with Thai influencers and hanger-on’s. Going as far as hosting Thai politicians at games.

That suggests to me that the club is less about city, club or anything else and more about having something which maintains status.

And so that reason I’m veering out

As well as turning filter way and anything connected with the club into what now looks like a Thai outpost.

Musk is an absolute prong but he's a master of putting the right people in the right places. He hasn't invented much, if anything, and is dependent on geniuses in his businesses.

100% needs to go and sell up. New ideas, new structure and roles needed and people to fill those roles who are good and experienced at what they do (as opposed to the academy coach from 2000s residing over everything). It’s become a Mickey Mouse stale organisation that needs to be refreshed.

Who wants to invest/piss their own money away in a sport/league which is set to only allow the big clubs to achieve

We are a viable option for no one

Billionaires that want a trophy or something fun to do.

Then there's several clubs higher up the pecking order than us

Not many (if any) that are up for sale.

Define achieve.

Bill Foley at Bournemouth is unlikely to achieve anything in terms of trophies but can he increase the value of the club to make a very tidy profit? As it stands the answer would be yes
