Those wanting Moyes. It will be the same football we play under him!

I'm hoping we go for someone like Ruud or Potter!

I'm not going to lie. If we'd gone for and hired Moyes in the summer I'd have been uninspired, and I can't say I believe it'd be the best football to watch if we do hire him, but he's a lot safer hands than Cooper ever was.

With the threat of sanctions over our head, there is a case to make for appointing Cooper at the time (rightly or wrongly), and I said then I was pessimistic, having much preferred the perseived alternatives, but that I would try to get behind him.

Its not worked out. He seems like a decent Championship manager, but has struggled with the pressure of the Premier league.

You cant say that of Moyes. His track record isnt bad at all in this league, (a lot better than Coppers anyway), if not particularly inspiring.

Is he my top choice for our replacement? No, not even in the top 3. But I would have taken Moyes over Cooper yesterday in a heartbeat, and that's not changed now.

Get Pearson back

I am surprised that so many want Mr Moyes and so few want Mr Pearson!

Pearson is younger if I’m not mistaken.

Moyes is an experienced PL manager, I don’t think you could entice him to come here on an interim basis. It will be a long term contract. He is a good manager who did good building jobs at Everton and West Ham. If Wolves, Palace sack their manager, he’d be on the list - why risk that for plugging a gap at Leicester until they find someone sexier.

RVN is the sexy appointment but the one with most risk. Yes, his Man U looked like world beaters against us but it was Coopers Leicester at Old Trafford. You want him to hit the ground running and have to wonder if it’s the time of appointment you make mid-season.

Potter, I’ve never rated. I know some hold him in high regard but I don’t see it. He also has principles he won’t depart from. Is that right in our current predicament ? Does have experience of PL relegation fights. He’s turned us down 3 times now - does put a downer on him

Moyes is a cracking manager did a wonderful job at Preston, Everton and West Ham, unfairly treated at Man Utd in my opinion and not given a fair crack at what was always going to be a near impossible job of replacing Sir Alex, Sunderland and Sociedad were blots but over a long career there will always be the odd blip, he will be a very good and sound appointment,

much like Puel he will steady the ship, stabilise us and over 2/3 seasons hopefully re-establish us as a Premier League club.

I think this is the point. All of us want to bring in a young, relatively unknown, exciting manager who plays attacking football and will get us playing as a unit, but for every De Zerbi who comes in to Brighton, there are far more Coopers, given how the club has been run for the last 10 years, we need someone to properly come in, steady the ship, start to build a foundation and move the club forward until we are in a position where even if we take a big gamble on a younger more exciting manager, the foundation will help them succeed. Right now there are plenty of unknowns we could go for, but we have no idea whether they are capable of controlling the clown show we have running the club upstairs.

Moyes is experienced, has a track record and builds foundations. The next manager needs to be someone who can offset the boards mistakes.

Percy saying Potter. Anyone got the full article?

Also says Cooper is stunned lollollol

Had a bust up with Vesty also something that insinuated an issue with Winks and Hamza but was tagged on to the Vesty bit  - apparently they had a bust up in training.

Falling out with players is never going to work out ever.

Hear me out… if It’s solely tops decision… is captain nobhead on his way out as well?!?! That would pave the way for potter or anyone who wants their own DOF

At this stage I wouldn't say no to Mourinho if it meant we'd stay up. It wouldn't be exciting football and there'd be a lot more shithousery, but he'd probably know enough tricks to scrape together enough points to stay up.

The manner of the defeat. A lack of passion and devoid of ideas.

Chelsea didn't break sweat.

The result was 2-1...   not a massive drubbing.

Anyway.  I suppose the thinking is, get someone in who WILL *coughs* win the winnable games.

HMMM...  I wouldn't say no to Peter Taylor if we stayed up!

I was wondering this myself. Cause I'm sure it was said in the summer he'd only come if he could bring in his own DOF.

Few funny points from the Percy article;

- Cooper had intended to evolve Leicester’s style of play from Maresca’s ultra-dominant approach but fans have become increasingly frustrated by what they perceive as a team with no discernible identity.

He managed to devolve our style to clueless running around.

Isn’t Percy mates with Cooper?

I did wonder this. Seems he isn’t taking advice off him as to whether to do things now …

Would Vichai have done any different? Doubt it. Perhaps Top is starting to learn…..

It looks very like Puel, doesn't it? Ruthless removal and then an efficient replacement process.
