He won't be sacked, but come the inevitable relegation he will be offered and accept a better job elsewhere - (clearly not difficult to find) - and walk away.

Like Cooper he was never the man for the job (although Cooper did much better) but who can blame either for taking the riches offered by our (to be generous) clueless owner and hapless board.

I can't find a single thing atm to like about our club, rotten in every department.

Who is going to look at his record here and offer him a ‘better job’? That’s very unlikely to happen and I don’t think he’ll quit , meaning the only way he’ll leave if is he’s sacked. And I’m far from convinced that will happen either.

If he stays on and is our manager for the first game in the Championship.

I genuinely don’t say this as hyperbole but can’t see us being in the top half of the table.

Momentum/confidence is one of the biggest things in football at all levels and ours will be at non existent.

I wonder which formerly great PL footballer became the manager with worse record than RVN...

Would want some numbers. Rooney?

Absolutely. His reputation with a relegation and extremely poor results will have undoubtedly been tainted. Why wouldn't he hang on hoping for a golden handshake? He'd be stupid not to as if he gets another job it won't become as financially lucrative.

I would say most definitely Rooney. I think he's found more his vocation as a pundit re his consecutive appearances as one on Match Of The Day Two now! I'd be amazed if anybody else here offered him an EFL job as manager now, while his stint in the USA probably didn't go too great either! Likewise Ruud after us - unless he starts to pull rabbits out of hats for the remainder of this season here, aka nigh on impossible! Or does likewise if he's kept on for next season in the Championship.

He will get sacked, but we will waste this international break to k on blt sack him after Man City. This is what what we do!!! Doesn’t matter anyway really. Nothing matters at this club anymore

Been so good not to subject myself to this mess over the weekend!

My mood has been so good and I realised it's because I've not had to watch these gutless chancers for 90 mins.

Taylor was based in some kinda logic. Same formula of appointment as Little, McGhee and O'Neil.

So the appointment wasnt terrible in that sense. The appointment of this - basically a cuck Thai rich boy appointing a bull - is worse.

Don’t agree. I was there and on another day, Bowen gets a hat trick. Something amiss that night; even Daka scored!

And what a great goal it was

How many times was that said of Rooney?

Stupidity knows no bounds for football club owners - who in their right mind appoints him?

Someone looking for publicity (like Plymouth with Rooney)?

Someone star struck?

Someone like our owner!

Heard from saints fans they are after Dany Rohl from sheff weds and whole of back room team.

He was Hasunhuttles no.2 at the saints before

Another manager that could slip away from us

Yeah fairly well known in circles here in Sheffield that Rohl was all but in there earlier in the season but Chansiri broke it off due to money. Plus supposedly not all his staff either wanted to up root or needed time sort that. Supposedly they have shaken hands on it for the summer to try again.

You say this like we're somehow an attractive club still, and that we'd be preferable for a potential manager over Southampton. I think we all need a bit of a reality check and to realise that we really, really just aren't.

A nice shiny training ground doesn't hide the fact that the club is being run into the dirt at an unbelievable rate. Football people know this.

Yes, Southampton are shit but they won't be languishing in the Championship for the next decade like us.

I can see another spell in league 1 coming if we either stick or appoint another dud.

Just continuing with him and the manner in which this season has been handled has to be the worst of the lot (so far) under the Top regime.

Could just about understand the decision around the lack of spending in 2022 despite letting Kasper go and the late Fofana sale (buying Faes as a panic buy to replace an absolute rolls Royce defender in Fofana harder to accept but fine).

The Bennett, Congerton decisions were stupid but fine, some reasoning behind it perhaps.

The summer of 2021 with Soumare and Daka coming in, young players with potential perhaps.

The decision to acquire Vestegaard, Bertrand and Glover from failing Southampton - stupid and delusional but maybe some thinking behind it - being kind.

Retaining Rodgers for too long - some loyalty,

Retaining Rudkin to date - some loyalty.

But this season, our season being over in February. With two failing managers. One allowed to have a streak of defeats in double figures, no goals at home and easy games for multiple opposition teams takes the ultimate piss. If anyone asks why in a few years Top is selling his ass to fund his cuckold adventures with the pool boy and his Mrs and where it all went wrong, this is the season to highlight his incompetence.

This man should be gone just out of respect to the badge. Cannot stand that he is still here.

Could have sacked him the day after the Man U match and now be appointing a new possibly interim manager with a week of prep before Man City. Instead 5-0 loss at City and panic and we sack with 3 days to go to next one is the Leicester way.

He won’t be sacked if we lose 5-0 at Man City.
