les-tah Posted 7 January 2025 Posted 7 January 2025 Imagine he becomes a world beater and we lost out because Rudkin failed to agree a deal with himself 4
DezFox Posted 7 January 2025 Posted 7 January 2025 (edited) Surely this is just the fact that we havent got 10 mill due to PSR. Even we surely can’t really want him and not get him. If it was an equivalent RB it would surely be a different story Edited 7 January 2025 by DezFox

What is the point of a multi club ownership model if we have only used to loan our cast outs. Genuinely can anybody answer this question what is the point in this model? How does it benefit us in anyway shape or form? I thought originally it was a loop hole to getting some secret wonderkids from South America. 1

I don’t think there is any strategy we’re actively employing now. Perhaps because of a Brexit taking away the freedom of movement? it’s pretty pointless tbh, not that i agree with signing this player for the sake of it but there doesn’t seem to be any usefulness to us as a club. Maybe they don’t want to be a feeder club to a poorly run yo yo club.

les-tah Posted 7 January 2025 Posted 7 January 2025 Maybe they can spend that £13 million on 13 hidden wonder kids from south america and actually develop them for us else this is the most pointless business model in football as we have gained zero from it other then pointless outgoing loans.
lcfc sheff Posted 7 January 2025 Posted 7 January 2025 This club is embarrassing, there’s clearly something we aren’t aware of with this multi club model. We used to loan players to them, admittedly they’ve never done well bar Iversen (I think?) It would seem a clever move to sign him whether we’re relegated or not.
Lambert09 Posted 7 January 2025 Posted 7 January 2025 cmon now, use your heads. We arent getting him for free and we have a limited budget. No matte how good he is, he plays in the position that would be bottom of our priorities right now. If we spent 13m on this kid and couldnt get a striker, rb or cb in the door ... we'd literally be fuming at the close of window. 1
UniFox21 Posted 7 January 2025 Posted 7 January 2025 Would've been wiser to have not brought Skipp and used the cash to buy this lad 3

Got £8 million for Sowah, that’s about it. 1

coolhandfox Posted 7 January 2025 Posted 7 January 2025 Jesus we don't need a CM, we need a CB, RB, RWer and CF. We cant spend 10m on a CM we don't need. 2

I would say CM/DM would be up there as one of the priority positions. The Soumare - Winks midfield doesnt do enough to protect our already shakey defence. A new DM would go a long way towards fixing our issues, I would rather sign a good defensively robust midfielder if one was available than sign a new centre back that we're not sure about. But you can't be sure about the CM all transfers are a risk. For me it would be RB, CB, RW and CF before a CM. 1
