The King Power is dead, long live the King Power!

There's things afoot. Bad result tomorrow and there will be some sort of shift. S'what I've heard.

Nothing will happen. Nothing ever happens.

Shift in what direction? Change of ownership or change in football director?

People need to realise that Rudkin won't ever be 'sacked' because his involvement with Top goes well beyond Football. That doesn't mean he will always be director of football though. A 'promotion' to a new role could be good for him.

However even if Rudkin is shifted to the side or promoted out of his current role, nothing will happen immediately more likely he would step aside in the summer and a new DoF coming in at the end of the season. Whilst it’s positive change there is still a hell of a lot of damage can be done between now and then.

Yep. I have said the same.

Top won't sell because of the emotional attachment and sheer financial investment, unless he's either in severe money trouble or gets an absolutely ridiculous offer.

Rudkin won't be sacked because he's too deeply ingrained into the King Power sporting operations.

I'm not even sure that Top can be pressured into sacking him either.

Therefore, to save face for all concerned, a 'promotion' where Rudkin ends up overseeing all of King Power's sporting operations with a dedicated DoF working at each club 'under' him is probably the most realistic solution.

We have connections to, and probably still decent relations with, at least two former managers who had a superb eye for a player in Pearson and Puel. Either of them would be a good replacement for Rudkin.

that's the king power way, and why we kept Rodgers long enough to make the damage terminal

Top post and I have said the same in the Ruud thread regards Pearson or Puel coming back as a Technical Director

Lose today and the KP is going to be an unpleasant place. Not necessarily because we are in unison to get this egotistical (for no apparent reason) leader to do his ****ing job. But because he has his affiliates in the ground who will happily attack fans who actually want him to.

The idea we’ll get a good buyer we’re living in cloud cuckoo land

the criticism of Top and KP is right but honestly if we just had a reshuffle at the top I’d be fine with them staying.

very easy to chuck toys out of the pram because of how shit our decline has been but the body of work idk it’s hard for me personally

We aren't having a ****ing reshuffle

Exactly. Whelan and Rudkin (+ Andrew Neville and Kevin Davies) are absolutely embedded in the KP structure. The financial chicanery. The subservient sycophancy. The code of silence.

They can't be replaced.

He, the messiah, Lord and saviour, Top, the boy wonder has no idea how to replace them even if he decided to do so. I dread to think who he would hire.

Top sell the club, Top Top sell the club

Top sell the club, Top thanks for the everlasting memories but sell the club!

And take Rudkin while your at it, definitely take Rudkin while your at it!
