Depends if staff were told something and then with a days notice it was changed. People would’ve made arrangements assuming money was coming in on a certain date.

I have heard of staff in tears as they don’t have the money to get their family Christmas sorted.

Hopefully this is picked up nationally and shows our ownership for what they are.

I’ve never really got the early pay in December. It creates the traditional difficulties people have in January with longer between pay. I used to get paid 18th of each month and much preferred that. If you are relying on Decembers pay coming early to manage Christmas, by definition that is a concerning for January. But that’s a general musing not related to Leicester.

 

Telling people one thing and retracting it with less than a days notice is extremely poor form. I get the comparisons to Chansiri and Wednesday in that once an employer becomes unreliable with paying staff for the first time, it could easily be a slippery slope.

His Dad was a man of the people couldn’t imagine him ever allowing this, disgraceful from Top of the players had anything about them they’d offer to receive there wages delayed to help the rest of the staff that actually need their pay packet

Sure but not the usual December payday, which is tomorrow, when staff had always been told they’d get paid until earlier today.

Really sad to see. As an employer, a so called family club, if you’ve promised something, to back track a day before is horrendous. 
 

The sad thing is, there will be people who come out in complete support of this little man and his regime. Every step of the way, they’ll be there with “yeah but”.

 

This isn’t right and not how a business should be ran. And more importantly, how people should be treated.

Well that's a pretty unusual payday set up anyway, let alone at Christmas when you tend to bring things forward.
