Just posted on another thread, why do posters keep telling others what they should do?

Each person can make their own mind up and if they come to a different conclusion to you, they are not wrong, they just have a different set of priorities

Just an opinion - is this a forum for opinions and discussion…or not

Remember the debacle where Pearson was told he’d been sacked and then reinstated later that day as someone didn’t have authority to make the decision in the 2014/15 season? Just before we played Arsenal away.

It was never confirmed who did the sacking and who overruled and did the reinstating but I think we now know don’t we?

Aiyawatt got away with that little episode. One that would have changed the course of history and meant we never won the Premier League. But yet he’s dining out on the credit for the success that came thereafter with some fans to this day.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, there is a lot of things down the years that have probably been a risk that has paid off in King Powers favour, a lot of those risks are no longer working and they are getting exposed for their lack of football management.

Does anyone know if we still get blessings from monks and gold trimmings/flags around the club?

Yeah, I can’t believe anyone seriously thinks it was the other way.

Yes we do, they were in last season.

I see us being a Blackburn or Stoke. Both been absolutely shite since last relegated from the Prem. Blackburn have been down to L1 too. Probably more comparable with Blackburn considering they also have shite owners and they won't leave

No decisive action yet again.

Hes either spent too much again so we cant sack him, dithering finding a replacement or believes he'll turn it around.

None of those explanations suggest he has the competence to run a football club.

Sell up.

Presumably Top wants any decision on replacing Cifuentes to involve the new CEO and technical director, neither of whom have been appointed yet. If so, I actually think the club is making the right decision for once—the new leadership team has to make the call. Unfortunately this means we may have to wait a while yet until a decision is made.

Ill be amazed if we see a new CEO or technical director before Christmas. Neither Wheland leaving or the need for a competent football director came out of the blue either.

Hmmm, I usually find that if someone doesn’t agree with me then they’re wrong!

Are there any other clubs in world football that have a similar weird cult around the ownership that we do? I certainly can't think of any others where a sizeable portion of the fanbase considers worshipping the owner to be a necessary component of supporting the club.

Think those hyper-sensitive about anyone pointing out the aged nature of much of our fanbase and the knock-on impact on atmosphere and supporter-activism are nuts. It's just true. They cannot wait to jump on any comments. I say this as someone who is not young at all... but I can also call a spade a spade.

IMO our ever-aging fanbase is detrimental to our club in so many ways. Sorry, fellow oldies.

I do worry about the size of our fan base in 10-20+ years time given the demographic of our fanbase both home and away being so different to the demographic of the city itself.

Although my experience of going home and aways since the late 90s I would say more than half of our regulars come from the county.

In the 90s we regularly didn’t sell out a 21000 filbert street, 2000s we were getting just over 20k 2010s a bit over , yea we picked up a few after our success but never have we been anywhere near of the top 10 teams, I think we will probably dwindle back down to just over 20k in the next few seasons, pricing isn’t helping neither

I think given the attendances between 96-02 we were ready for a bigger stadium.

I was starting to worry over the weekend that he's seen Chansiri's escape and thought it's not the worst idea.

Triggered by Simon Jordan saying any Sheff Weds takeover would result in a payment to Chansiri to comply with league rules.

Run us into the ground.... walk away debt free... get a small pay off for your troubles.

Oh for sure, and it’s paid of because we have consistently had attendances over that since, but I agree with original poster saying our attendances will dwindle now, at a guess back to 24k in a season, but yea still 3k more then filbert street

They can be completely wrong.  People come to the wrong conclusions all the time for various reasons.  Lack of objectivity, not having all the information or lack of reasoning skills.

I know things are bad, but there isn’t much evidence to suggest this would happen on purpose. Doing it accidentally is much more likely due to their sheer incompetence.
