I think we have to be careful not to have conformational bias. He has admitted we made mistakes.

We all hate where we have to got, maybe he is genuine and want to rebuild the structure.

But the proof at the minute is that its a mess and can't see him improving. All we can do is wait to see if the sporting director makes a difference. (well I know we can protest)

We won the Premier League because of Rudkin? Even if that is true 1) It was a very long time ago in footballing terms. 2) If he's responsible for that, surely he's responsible for what comes after. Even Claudio didn't last 9 months after it so the logic doesn't add up.

Yeah it's very confusing. He thinks he's saying the right things that fans want to hear. But he's missing out so much substance and so many opportunities to put his hands up and say to the fans he got things wrong.

Rudkin must have so much dirt tucked away.

Real "we're all trying to find the guy that did this!!!" vibes about why the club HE OWNS is on its arse..

Could do without the head patting about "where we were before" as well .

Hope the Comms director is reading the response to this garbage through his fingers..

Where?

He said when we failed blame me.

Don't get me wrong I'm not a supporter of the regime, just like to take a step back and try and have a little hope. (naive I know)

We've managed to go from the brink of being a regular CL club to looking over our shoulders at the prospect of relegation to League One, all and having an unfair advantage whilst having a far bigger budget yet still overspending in relation to many other clubs. If the owner still doesn't realise that the person who has been heading up the football operation throughout the whole of that period is utterly incompetent then I guess he never will

This interview has clearly proved how naive, incompetent and poor his understanding of the club really is. Not once did he explain what the problem is and his defence of Rudkin is shocking. It’s clear he does not see the risk of relegation we’re in. This changes nothing and at the end of the day this should encourage protests and discontent with the deduction and general issues because it’s clear nothings really gonna change until administration hits us down the line.

I listened to what he's had to say from my natural position of a "I hate everything that's gone on and happened to my club" point of view and also from a "Coach 1, front row, flask filling happy clapper" POV.

I know exactly who is going to be galvanised by all this!

God help us!

No he hasn’t, skirted around the fact he should have probably communicated.

The bloke blames PSR, thinks we can win the league not signing anyone, and then giggles saying “we will go up next season”. If we don’t this?

The blokes a ****ing clown, he’s not got a clue what he’s doing, he knows nothing about football, and nothing about running a business…..

He is a disaster, and he’s only going to end up making this club cease to exist.

Wow, what a fvcking PR disaster this is. Now we know why the Board have probably discouraged him from speaking. The guys a complete moron and totally divorced from reality. I felt when I heard the OPA snippet the other day his heart was in the right place but now hearing the full interview it is clear we are completely FUBAR. He is Chansiri and not in disguise anymore.

This is absolutely terrifying. The hubris of the man 😖

All that’s left is administration because if he won’t sell then that’s where we’re headed. I’ll tell you what though, this has just strengthend my resolve that there needs to be protests at every game in whatever format is the most effective. If you’re not already don’t spend anything at the ground. We really need to rally on this because if we don’t we won’t have a club left to support.

You can be unhappy with what he said, but starting to be more open is a start.

The bizarre thing is that absolutely all of this has been constructed to protect Rudkin.

The managers who have had to field impossible questions in pre-match press conferences. The years of silence from the hierarchy. The interviews with the owner now.

At any normal football club it's the Director of Football being transparent about the strategy and what's going to happen with the manager, not the owner having to go in front of the media with his limited English.

Within ten seconds of listening to this and reading the interviews, it's clear that it's the wrong person in front of the media.

Even with openness, still no accountability.

Best thing that could happen for the long term future of the club is administration. It's the only way we'll get rid of the rot at the top of the club.

None of this is a surprise.

He wishes he could find what’s gone wrong, but is incapable of doing so … mainly because it’s his;  naivety,  inexperience, lack of authority, lack of understanding, critical analysis skills, effort levels, general incompetence, lack of planning, lack of availability, understanding, self awareness, absence of recruiting the lacking skills. Etc etc.

His business’ performance is accurately tracking his talents.

We’ll continue on this trajectory for as long as he leads.

He may as well not bothered, it comes across atrociously. All it does is just confirm what everyone has been saying, he is incompetent, and this football club is truly ****ed. We’re dying a slow painful death.
