Sure. It's just that you were talking about it in reference to the previous relegation to League One, which was under Mandaric, not KP

I wasn’t, I was referencing the hiring of NP under KP, and he and his team building the foundations for us to then properly build for the future. The previous NP stint doesn’t count for KP, but what it does do it just shows their methods of thinking…… I wouldn’t put it past them hiring Nigel again.

He wouldn't work for Top or Rudkin again I don't think.

It was Top who sacked him before Vichai overruled him wasn't it? A few users on here who have spoke to Nigel have said he doesn't think much of Rudkin.

Made sure he was gone before they took over. Then plunged us into serious danger with the care free spending that had no risk to them but could have seen us in the scenario we are now.

Anyone who doesn't appreciate Nigel Pearson and his staff is a moron.

That's a misleading take on the situation.

Through pure football ignorance they put Pearson into a position where he had to leave because they wanted to appoint a football celebrity.  Said celebrity failed spectacularly and had to be sacked very quickly (danger of relegation).  They then appointed another celebrity, Sven, who spent loads but didn't progress the squad.  According to many people on here, they were strongly advised by Birchy and others within the club to reappoint Pearson.

So KP had no connection with the initial appointment of Pearson, foolishly got rid of him, and only reappointed because they were prepared to take the advice of "people who knew" within the club.

Both posts correct. At most you can say fair enough for being able to admit a mistake and put it right. But if that’s the most that can be mustered as a way of crediting KP for what we achieved, it’s a rather tenuous link to praise them on.

You’re not wrong, I was merely suggesting the reappointment of Nige ultimately led to the foundations being laid for our success, that is all. But you are not wrong.

I don't even get why they went for Sousa as a big name. Okay he won major trophies as a player but he was just a former Swansea manager and hardly a household name.

Sven I understand but the obsession with Sousa because of the apparent appeal of his name is a bit weird.

Pearson left first time around due to a massive falling out with Lee Hoos (the MD at the time). Mandaric backed Hoos & Pearson took the vacant Hull job.

Nothing to do with King Power, who had only just begun their association with us as a shirt sponsor. Though I would imagine that they had influence over the decision to hire Sousa.

It was cited that he wasn’t happy with Sousa being in attendance with Mandaric at the Cardiff playoff semi final. But yeah you are right about him falling out with Hoos

The biggest endorsement to an ownership is ticket sales and while we will be naturally down on last season, the romoured sales are certainly not a disaster for the club. Another botched managerial appointment, a failure to rid many of the high earners, a poor start to the league might be enough to cut through the apathy and get a few more to turn. A lot of fans still think this is a blip and Top will turn it around.

Talking of how it should be done when as a club you have failed......

"Rob Edwards, Matt Jackson and Nathan Shi have been quizzed by fans at a Wolves Fan Forum hosted by BBC Radio WM."

When are Top and Rudders facing the fan in the absence of an insitu manager as it sounds like Rowett is off or let go??

Others accept their failure/s................and recognise the importance of getting the fans onside

It was the style of play, at the start tops son was allowed to make decisions, and Sousa had us playing tippy tappy which failed miserably.

'A lot of fans stilll.........' Really ?
I doubt it. This isn't a blip. How can three relegations in four years be a blip ?
You think that Top can turn it around ?

He has shown no sign of  being capable of getting a grip and sorting things out

He says we shouldn't blame other people, we should blame him.
Yes Top, we do. You are to blame. You are responsible for your staff, that is your job.
If you are incapable of running a football club, hand it over to someone who is.

He’s not interested and certainly not running it. He’s leaving that to Rudkin (who isn’t even the CEO).

At least wolves engaged the fans.

Not a surefire way to succeed but at least they are doing something before the current season ends.

Let's be avin' ya Rudkin x Nepo Baby

Wish they would do this

unfortunately with 20+ thousand snapping up season tickets for next season that’s the nod to hierarchy to continue as you were. That’s why nothing substantial will change here for the foreseeable until the owners are forced to sell, possibly when/if we go into administration

no communication

no update on new manager

no statement around what went wrong

no plan for the future

no relationship with the fans

Great post.

But the fact that everything you have said is unfortunately so painfully true and the club is incapable of fixing any of it makes it worse

I thought I saw that on the LCFC socials.

Is that another one of their fabricated “truths” though?

I think we will see how many on the 1st game of the season, when we don't win the first 5 games and languishing around 7/8th around November, i think attendance will drop massively

We will stil have a big chunk moan about why there hasn't been any substantial change, though.

They'll never face the fans in something official like this. Ever.

These dudes are awkward. They don't have the personalities to be public-facing, this is why they consistently hide behind the managers. Or in Aiyawatt's case, stand twenty feet away flanked by security guards.

But most importantly - they don't have the answers. They'd be made to look absolutely foolish.
