A few who sit around me have openly agreed the club is a mess and Rudkin and Top are to blame yet they recoil when the sack the beard chants start. It’s like they can’t be seen to criticise the club openly in any way

It’s definitely the fault of the beard. Ffs typos!

People keep saying it was Vichai but the reality is that it was Pearson.

Yep 100%, also I'm sure I read at the time it was birch that put Pearsons name forward to the owners.

Don't you mean Claudio?

Claudio was like the lineker of the what happened, essential to the end result but did lay the foundations.

I’d save your energy for now. The club is up for sale. Interested parties will be sticking their bids in shortly. There’s always a chance they don’t take a bid and that’s when you’d ramp up any protest. You’d burn any energy and as we saw last season, it peters out

Agreed, would you want bidders put off by a hostile fan base?

Equally as fans we can’t just leap in joy at any potential buyer and the Trust now has a really important role and needs to carry out its due diligence on any bidder they become aware of, use the powers given to them by the ACV on the stadium and ensure they have access to the Independent Football Regulator to influence.

Can someone tell them that you don’t actually have to do the second bit?

It is a very strange rhetoric. The Premier League title should have increased the profile and standing of the club to insulate against a severe decline. This is a club whose overall position in League history is 22nd. It is currently 62nd.

We’re not hostile though are we? A smattering of Boo’s at full time is nothing in comparison to what other clubs have done to rid their club of its owners…. Was it Charlton, who carried a coffin to a game? Norwich has large protests outside of the ground at full time, Reading stormed the pitch….. there’s ben far worse than a smattering of boo’s and tutting elders.

I mean I wouldn't even trade the great escape. Still get goosebumps watching the Vardy goal at the Hawthorns. Wouldn't trade the FA Cup win. It's history. And certainly wouldn't trade the title win which now feels like the last glorious hurrah of a sport that even in the last ten years has been totally and irreversibly stripped of any authenticity, unpredictability and romance.

At the risk of getting all sentimental on you, my take is that the journey is more important than the destination. In sport and in life.

For example, I'm an average runner. Would I take being able to run a sub 3 marathon once if it meant I could no longer run at all? Absolutely not, I like the way running compliments my life too much.

I can understand pro League win arguments, but FA cup? Not for me. Even more than the league, it's just a moment. Remarkable though it is, I wouldn't trade our existence for it. We're all here because we want something to be part of and to have something to get behind. You can't trade achievements for that in my view.

Fact of the matter is we shouldn't have to choose, but that's a different conversation. Thankfully I think most are finally on board with the idea we're better off without King Power.

No, this is just a daft comment.

Anyone with any sense can see how bad this owner is and that a hostile fan base would be justified. A prospective owner would know it would be an easy fix to turn that around.

What would put me off is a fanbase that acts as a cult following towards said failed owner. Despite how he has tanked us, you will have people who will be on any new owners back even if we literally get promoted.

Any prospective new owners would need to do extremely well and be successful because KPFC fans will be very passionate and vocal about any small misstep.

We’re treated like dogs, grumpy so they give us a coconut and a cake, and all is well!

Brighton and Bournemouth continue to show what could/should have been.

Hence why I’m always flapping on about them. And Brentford too… all have looked impressive on opening weekend.

Everything about Jose clubs is utterly professional and competent…. We’re as well organised as a Sunday league team scratching for players at 10am.

Any truth we’ve got a month to sell the club or face administration

Doubt it, we would know about it. But if we don’t get promoted, then we will be.

You wouldn't have thought they would be bidding for or after any players if this was the case. The League wouldn't let them, Like has happened with Oxford.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me at all. If KP has big issues, it will knock on to us.

Not having a pop at you at all but this is ****ing ridiculous when you think about it. All the crap we’re in BECAUSE of King Power (Aiyawatt) and you can’t breathe a word or thought of criticism about them but any new , competent owner makes the odd mistake (which they will) THEN they kick off? Make it make sense please!

Mates was talking about it on Saturday and what they’ve heard

I was told by a friend that the entire squad was up for sale and administration is looming. There’s a couple of reports online stating the same but not exactly from trusted sources.
