We don't need to just go on a spending spree as such though. What we need to do is get back to how we were with Pearson, Walsh and to a lesser extent Puel (terrible manager, great at finding players though) discovering players that are undervalued that we can develop.  We were the blueprint for teams like Brighton, Brentford etc who are all punching above their weight now. One of our best players is a young Brighton player who can't get in their side that we are developing. He's class, don't get me wrong but that's the sort of player we should have on our books and be loaning out to them not the other way around. We were years ahead of those teams now we are massively behind. Every single person who has been involved in that drop off should be sacked. If Top is too close personally to them then put them somewhere else in his businesses but get them away from the football club. You can't compete in the Premier league with a jobs for the boys attitude. Otherwise we are looking at relegation and if we go down, league one is a real possibility with the points deduction and a retiring Vardy. Top could sort this out himself if he replaced everyone, if he doesn't want to or isn't interested anymore then fair enough sell the club but the alarm is sounding, don't ignore it a second time. We could all see we were in trouble early on in the relegation season. We are in real trouble now again.

No team has the right to stay at the top level forever, especially the sides outside the elite. But we went from back to back 5th finishes, FA cup winner & 2 European campaigns to the championship in a year. 
 

Terrible signings, not sacking Rodgers, extending contracts of undeserving players. It’s all been so avoidable but they just let it happen. I sometimes feel like I’m going crazy.

The achievements you rightly mention are why we are a different case to an Ipswich, Southampton, even a wolves if they go.

Extending contracts of undeserving players should be the final nail in Rudkins coffin .

Don’t even need to be a big club to stand up against a shite board. We just don’t have the fanbase for it.

At last a journalist who truly sees us for what we are, a poorly managed football club. Maybe the media is starting to catch on. Perhaps they'll wake up even more after the next three games

Great article.

 

The majority of the media won’t though. They are like the coach one lot who just think we should be grateful for what we have had, shouldn’t have sacked Ranieri etc

 

Hopefully it’s the start of a toxic shit storm though, something us fans should’ve run with when this season kicked off.
