This would be a class signing for us, with 6 months left you’ll imagine he’ll be available for no more than £7m?

What concerns me is if he chose to come to us over signing a new contract, how much extra pennies are we offering?

£7m for someone that we can sign for free in 5 months? Not sure even Rudkin would go that mental!

Our wide players tore him a new one last season. Not sure he's better than what we have.

yeah but now they'll be on the same side:brendan:

He's better than our full backs, so it would be a yes from me. But Southampton would never sell him to a relegation rival.

Rudkin would go in with an offer off 5 million and come out with Jan Bednarek

So?

Hes better than our current crop.

So are many many others if we had an ounce of creativity or scouting about us!

Just sick of us making the same mistakes over and over.

The difference is that we've taken players off of Premier League clubs that they wanted to get rid of.  I don't think Southampton would want to let KWP go.

It's all moot anyway cos he'll get a better offer than us.

Solely at fault?

Comments like this do make me chuckle.

Robertson relegated with Hull? Went to Liverpool.

Maguire relegated with Hull, came to us

No? Sure they'll be others too

Ashley they were both early

20’s and clearly very very good.

KWP is just a standard big six cast off who is exactly where he should be.

If we sign him we’ve just lost all interest in finding players and we’re just being offered players by agents and saying yes so that the powers that be have to do **** all work

Reply’s are funny. Most of you would have been on the “not another Southampton defender” side of this argument a month or so ago.

I’d rather we signed someone young from the championship or abroad and got relegated as it would at least show signed of looking ahead rather than sign another Southampton shithouse looking for a payday…. There I’ve said that lol

Nope.

Hes always been one of their better players.

Vestergaard was a weird signing and Bertrand was a disaster.

First person that came in to my head when I saw this… feels like this would just be adding to the rot at the club already.

Didn’t Bertrand come here on a big wage with an injury then had his surgery paid for and injury fixed whilst contributing the square root of fcuk all on the pitch.

Now that’s a cracking bit of business.
