Sprint race was the best F1 I’ve watched in what feels like years. Had a bit of everything.

RB’s unsafe release was only punished by a 10 second penalty which surprised me as it was super dangerous and could have resulted in a car being ploughed in to an entire pit crew?

Race engineer - "Lewis, Sainz now 1.4 seconds behind"

Hamilton -"You want me to let him past aswell?"

Starting to warm to Lewis all of a sudden lol

Piastri's racecraft is so much better than Norris. He knew Verstappen's usual tactic of forcing people wide, great pass for the lead.

He seems significantly calmer than Norris, Norris has had great chances these past couple seasons and thrown either race wins or podiums away with silly mistakes or amateurish decisions.

The bit where they said they want a minute to think & he says something like ”yeah sure have a cup of tea as well….” got me chuckling also 😂

It’s great him being there because even in dull race we know they’ll be handbags lol

Flavio taking over at alpine then, love it we need a bit of grit

Colapinto joins alpine on a 6 race deal, harsh on doohan but I think after his performances in the Williams he should’ve had a seat this year

Although did have a few crashes at the end but maybe that was down to inexperience and trying too hard ?

I read that Briatore is also Doohan's manager. Quite incredible that your manager would come in as team principal (particularly when being involved with the team already) and then dispose of you immediately.

It’s wild that they used to race at Aintree.

I used to have a duke VHS reviewing all of the 70’s seasons and it used to hypnotise me. The cars and sponsors were iconic, the drivers and women incredibly glamorous, drivers being killed left, right and centre. Truly a glorious era that’s sadly (and fortunately in some aspects) long gone.

Same for Colapinto.

Another poor session for Ferrari .
