Great physical condition, which he knows how to use. Fast, strong side defender with a drive for goal. Sometimes he can be chaotic in his actions, he doesn't keep tactical discipline, sometimes he "burns out", but generally a good player with potential.

From a Parma fan

We should play Wout next to him to calm him down

It would be interesting to see what his stats are like when it comes to Aerial Duels. This is an area that JJ really struggles with imho. Has always been susceptible to crosses and he regularly seems to lose those 50/50s that he should be winning more of.

Great point

In 30+ years of watching us I have never known a player miss judge the flight of a ball more than JJ, its like he either runs under it or leaves it to late to jump and barely gets off the ground

he looks bang average. People saying we’re short of cash. We are but this isn’t gonna keep us in the league.

the clips on YouTube show him miss kicking the ball….regularly.

we need a pl quality starting rb.

this has ,resigned to the championship written all over it.

sign a young player who we can develop over this.

Don't think he'd be great in the Championship tbh.

Can't believe how many people expressing disappointment.

We need a full back.  This guy plays full back.  We have next to no spending power, we're at the bottom of the league, in terrible form.  We're not about to sign prime Roberto Carlos

We also need to significantly improve our starting XI, which without major funds is difficult but that's the requirement. It's very much down to very good scouting, negotiating and coaching. Let's hope this is what we'll get.

Equally, I can't believe anyone would want us to give a four or five year contract to more dead wood we won't be able to shift.

I would honestly rather we get relegated playing Hamza at right back then just fill the squad up with more bargain basement muck.

So just don’t try then?

Exactly this. He looks crap.

weve already got a bunch of crap we can’t shift and we’re just adding to it.

he isn’t even young with potential who’s likely to develop.

the clubs ran by clowns.

Saved me a job. Why should be happy with any old right back? His stats suggest he's a big gamble, and I'm being polite here.

I think people are within their rights to express their concerns after our recent recruitment.

That said, I guess we have no option but to take a gamble.

Our successes began with gambles. I am not sure this guy will work out, but it may. We are in the do do financially, this is financially prudent which is what we must be doing, and people moan because we cannot sign better players, but that ship sailed some time ago and it is ground overly trodden already.

To be fair, I did amend my post, we don't have many options other than to take a risk. I do have concerns about him from a statistical point of view, I have to be honest!

Straight red for a studs on ankle challenge. 1 minute in.  First highlight is him getting to the line to put in a ball that should really be converted.

Is it bad that I think we should sign him for this alone?

Ok guys, I've just watched all the Parma Serie A highlights of this season and I'm telling you now this guy looks fxxking useless defensively.

Holy shit he looks bad.  I'm really hoping that he's either going to be a wingback type or we somehow manage to get some defensive nous into him because he looks like a French JJ tbh with the awareness, ball watching and tracking ability of 2023 Soumare.

He's number 26.  Highlights below are only around 2-3 minutes a piece so doesn't take long to have a gander. Hopefully he's better in the non highlight part of the game, which'd make sense tbf.

This lad is a salt of the earth. He's coming on the pod this weekend to talk about Coulibaly too.

If you read the replies, another Parma fan reckons he's decent.
