0.82 points per game

Vs 0.44 points per game

We are getting worse

That’s the crazily good goalkeeper difference not manager

Steve Cooper secured ten points from twelve games, while RvN has four from nine, so there had been a material downturn in points return. Considering some comments such as this is a Championship squad which any manager would struggle to keep up (which I agree with this), then surely Cooper wasn’t doing the desperately awful job that the majority were making out. His head was clamoured for but I feel we at least had a fighting chance of staying up if he’d stayed, based on evidence such as what he did keeping Forest up and our league position at the time of his sacking. I think we go down now with or without Ruud so need to think who would be best placed to see us do well in the Championship next season, which would probably be Dyche if he were to accept the job.

Don’t know if you’re being sarcastic, but last time I checked the goalkeeper wasn’t scoring goals up the other end

Sir Alex, Pep and Slot would struggle with our squad. They’re simply not good enough. And Rudkin and his team STILL haven’t signed anyone that will strengthen our first team to remotely be in with a chance of staying up

Many wanted Ruud

Yup. Lots of fans are culpable in this.

The mood music was positive. On the basis he was famous, good looking and wore cashmere.

There's simply more to football than that. But a good 75% of the fan base think there isn't. And, as the post above says, Top's immature ego (Manchester United sir!) and Rudkin's amateurism (I'll look at this pile of CVs agent xyz have sent in) .....it's a recipe for disaster.

The only good thing about this whole saga is the smug satisfaction of being proved right!  I called this Dutch bozo from the get go. In fact, I even called him out at his tenure at Man U

If results are kind over the rest of the weekend, we are one win away from being out of the drop zone. Yes, we’re all despondent right now. But it doesn’t have to be a relegation season. RVN was the second insanely bad appointment of the season.  But Dyche is unemployed and could yet save this shit-show. He has beaten relegation. He has achieved promotion. He gave Everton a disproportionate number of clean sheets. We’ve taken two gambles with appointments. Now is the time for pragmatism to win out. Get this clueless Dutchman gone and an experienced PL man in. It can still be salvaged. Easily. We’re only aiming for 17th! But I just cannot see RVN being the guy to get us there.

That isn't an excuse to sub Bilal, refuse to play Buonnotte, persist with Vards, play McAteer, sub off Stephy and hang the midfield out to dry

But yes, still agree we are going down regardless of management

Our attacking potancy has evaporated. It's nice looking good against the big teams(Liv away & Man C home), putting in performances but in the regular matches we're even less competitive than under Cooper.

Yes the injuries have been devastating and particularly crippling to key players - Ndidi, Hermansen, Ricardo, Fatawu - but we aren't even in games any more, we didn't even look like scoring today.

You are being sarcastic, but last time I checked the points per game was affected just as much by how many goals you concede as the goals you score.

Completely agree.

Called it from the start too. Chickens have very much come home to roost.

Can’t lose 7 on the bounce at any level - get dyche in and at least go down with a fight

Is it you that just called Talksport with this? "Jakey?"

Dyche is short-termism. This club needs rebuilding, Dyche isn't that guy.

Lost faith in RVN today. Subbing off Bilal for Skipp and McAteer was ludicrous. His preference for Ayew is baffling. First game under West Ham we got battered and were super lucky to win that. Scraped a fortunate draw against Brighton but there’s been little else to suggest he was a good appointment sadly.

I ain’t worth debating. What ****ing joker are Batman & Robin going to appoint? They have zero footballing nous picking managers, just mull over what gets fed to them by agents.
