Angry Ginge to replace Faes?

I actually think Angry Ginge has more anticipation than Faes. It was him who did a clearance off the line I think? Faes would be further upfield looking gormless.

But the keeper suggestion was purely because that performance from Paddy was peak Ward. Some of the failed attempts to save were uncanny. We didn’t get the ‘newspaper on the toilet’ from Paddy but we got some of the others lol

We should be all over Alfie Gilchrist, Chelsea want to sell him and wouldn't cost that much. Get rid of Coady and replace him with Gilchrist would be a smart move - so we probably wont do it.

As what though?  Cos his loan last season he was pretty much a rightback, and as well as not really needing any more fullbacks, he never really impressed at RB.

He could be good for CB, which I guess is your suggestion as you say a Coady replacement, but it seems odd that Wilder used him at RB instead of CB, especially when they were desperate to get a CB once Souttar got injured.  They then brought in Holding for the role.

He's only played CB at youth levels. At senior level he's been almost exclusively an RB.

yeah and he looked okay defensively but almost non existent offensively at full back, feel for it to be a worthwhile improvement he needs to be able to do both

He is better than what we have and has a lot higher ceiling then ours too.

he would be a perfect option for a RCB if we were to go 3 at the back.

Gilchrist / Souttar / Nelson is a solid 3.

Better than what we have at what though?  We haven't seen Gilchrist at CB at senior level, so there's no telling if he's better than what we have there, baring in mind Souttar was CB for the same side and was their best defender (player) prior to injury last season.  At RB, he's not better than what we have.  A lot of Blades fans preferred Seriki to Gilchrist at RB.

Blades fans also don't seem to share your opinion on his ceiling.

In terms of a back 3 I guess we'll need to wait and see on a manager for that.

I don't mind the idea of him as a CB for us, a young depth option.  At RB he's too one dimensional really.  Again of course, if a manager wants an RB to be solid but unspectacular, Danny Simpson mkII then you never know.

Easy , who do we need next year ?

Goalkeeper, Defenders, Midfield, Forwards and Subs, oh yeah and a Manager, backroom staff , board and new owner.

Bring back Doyle, sign Churlinov for Stephy, and sign DCL.

Sign Soumaïla Coulibaly for Faes.

We win the League.

I think Calvert-Lewin is going to West Ham. He used to be a real threat... for about a season roughly 5 years and 10 injuries ago.

The only time he has ever hit double figures was under Ancelotti. Outside of those two seasons his goal returns are 1, 4, 6, 5, 2, 7, 3.

If the points deduction isn't too big, I think we still could have a decent pulling power for some younger fringe players to come on loan from big clubs. Chelsea have just signed 3 wonderkids, one of them is Kendry Paez, he could potentially be the sort of player we could get on a season long loan for development, and with our Maresca connections, if he does love this club could use us as a place to send players for this upcoming season. Would suit us for PSR too.

Paez is going to the top imo, but there's just too much competition at Chelsea right now, he would absolutely tear the championship apart as a number 10 which is his main position, but he can also play Right Wing and CM.

Think Paez is straight off to Strasbourg

Yeah it’s not the best example but that’s the sort of connections we should be tapping into especially given our financial situation
