He has been injured for a combined total of about 600 days in the last 4 seasons. Missing about 92 games. ...and that's just his Hamstring injuries.

Possibly with an obligation to buy if we are promoted. they just sold Adingra for 20m, I think if we put that as an obligation they might be tempted. Ruud wasted him and I still think those early displays showed that he’s an unreal talent. Scotch Posted 9 July 2025 Posted 9 July 2025 We all knew that sell to buy was going to be the case. I just hope we are able to keep Bilal, Mavididi and Fatawu. They could be a game changer. I imagine Faes will go. Ateast one of Vesty and Coady, probs the latter. Ndidi will go. Hermansen if we can find someone willing to pay £20+. I think maybe Soumare and VK will go on loan but hopefully permanent. Thats got to be around the £40m mark, conservatively. Hopefully that's enough to keep who we want to keep and get 1/2 CM's and 1/2 strikers.
Claudio Fannieri Posted 10 July 2025 Posted 10 July 2025 I think there will be 2 buckets of players we want to offload - high earners that we will probably sell at knock down prices just to get them off the books and reduce the wage bill such as - Coady, Winks, Soumare, Daka, Vesty, Ndidi, Ayew, BDCR and possibly even Riccy and Justin. Then there will be a group that the club feel will be saleable assets that we can generate reasonable fees for and I think that group will consist of - Mads, Bilal, Faes, VK I don’t think we will sell all 14 players but i think we will look to move on at least half from each group to try and drastically cut costs and generate money for incomings. 1

I agree with most of this but I'm sure Bade Aluko is a RB and I'm not 100% sold on Thomas at LB either. He's worth a shot but a purple patch or two in amongst a LOT of poor performances is a gamble making him our starter. We are definitely set at RB. Woyo, Justin, Ricardo, Aluko and even Jayden Joseph and although a few of them can cover for LB, I'm not convinced we don't need a starter in that position. If Thomas ends up being crap, we are relying on a bunch or RB's to step up. I would also like to see Ricardo played more as a CM because that group has a worryingly low amount of creativity and like I said, we are strong at RB already.

JJ will just play left back if Thomas returns to poor form. I’m not convinced Kristiansen will definitely be sold either, I don’t think the club will be actively pushing him out the door so it’s only if he pushes for a move or a club offers decent money.

Granted I’ve seen nothing of him but could easily just be on an excellent season rather than being a consistent performer. Personally I prefer Kasper Hogh at Bodo Glimt. I’m struggling for CF options though, maybe Thom Van Bergen at Groningen or if we have the money, Salech from Cardiff.
