Unless one (or more) of Wink, Soumare and Ndidi leave, I think we should tough it out, as it would be an older player, or a prospect. The older player would be expensive, the prospect risks blocking Will’s progress.

He's a bit of a strange one. 

 

Looked like he was going to be something special when he broke through at Raith Rovers when he was 16. Moved to Fulham and disappeared into obscurity. Only just got his career back on track after a decent loan spell at Northampton before moving to Hibs last year.

Happy the manager didn’t play Winks as we need more physicality in the middle for this system, and he didn’t show up in the previous friendly.
 

Yeah, Soumare isn’t ideal but Ndidi is likely to move on - if one of them does leave, think that no. 6 position will be a priority along with a striker.

Meant he didn't play Winks from the start. 

 

Having seen the highlights, he looked decent but there was more space open to him. As his performances in the PL showed, he struggles when pressed and Marti appears to want to get the ball from back to front quicker than Enzo.

Agreed I think we needed four players personally including 2 midfielders, however, if Marti wants to keep Soumare in the pivot then I think we only need 1 midfielder. I would like to see us invest in an attacking left back with the money that would have been used for that.

 

Aluko doesn’t seem to be getting a look in on the left, VK needs to go (imagine It’ll be a loan), and Thomas is a good squad player but he’s played too many suicide passes this pre season which will cost us in the league.

If VK is injured and will be out for a bit, I doubt he will move on. I think we are just going to have to hope that Marti works his magic on him.

If they can get Woyo out on loan and sell JJ, I think you can afford to get another fullback in regardless of VK staying. VK is supposedly on low wages and can recover as a squad player with the aim of loaning him out in January.
