I don't think we'll sign brownhill, but think we need someone in the middle with some energy. I can't claim to have seen him play too much, but would Josh Dasilve be an options on a free now we have freed some wages up?

To put it politely, he’s a walking injury

3 more signings needed prior to replacing the likes of BEK if he leaves.

Defensive Midfielder - Marcelino Nunez - £7.5m (12 months left on contract)

Box to box midfielder - Josh Brownhillp

Striker - Richard Kone - £5m

More Defensive Midfielders? Think we're covered there and have an expensive selection as-is.

We need someone else who can compete with Winks in the pivot role.

Doesn’t Oliver Skipp exist?

He isn’t suited for playing as a pivot as far as I’m concerned, he would more of a box to box midfielder… having said that I don’t know what role he is suited too.

I’ve had a lot of people say we don’t need two, I would be surprised if we aren’t targeting 2 centre mids this off season and that’s not including replacing Bilal if he leaves. We need competition and we don’t have the midfielders currently that suit Marti’s style.

Isaac Hayden released by Newcastle. Is he too injury prone now and has he lost too much ability? Obviously should only be considered as backup/rotation and only if Hamza and/or Ndidi leave.

He played that role at Norwich and was getting rave reviews 🤷‍♂️

No way is Skipp a box-to-box type player https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/player-analysis-oliver-skipp/

But very much agree with the second paragraph, said it myself numerous times that some energy and defensive nous is needed. Winks or Skipp can operate as the 6, we need two players who can operate like a box-to-box 8.

I agree I don’t think Skipp is a box to box midfielder but I trust him there as a back up than I do in the role of a pivot.

The reason why I think Nunez should be an absolute priority signing is because he can play each role in the midfield 3 and to a very good standard whilst improving our first team.

My dream midfield would consist of Nunez in the pivot, Brownhill box to box and Bilal as the No.10. I would argue that’s very doable depending on Bilal leaving and that midfield 3 is premier league standard.

That would be a delightful midfield.

Despite it being elsewhere, at least Skipp has shown he can operate the pivot role rather than a box-to-box role. Very much a mystery why we haven’t seen that version of Skipp at Leicester yet.

Nunez is a solid shout if we can afford him, all depends how much Norwich will want for him, even though he’s in the last year of his contract. Could be better value elsewhere in Europe.

Marti signed Jonathan Varane for QPR who is very much an energetic ball winner, will be interesting to see if Marti wants to add that type of profile, because apart from Ndidi who could be off, we have nobody else like that, especially if Marti sees Hamza as a RB.

We'd need to lose at least 2 centre mids if we were to sign 2 more. Not sure I like the idea of signing too many players this summer as we already have a big squad, we have little money to play with and the wage bill needs reducing. Add in the fact that we're very limited in the standard of player you can sign in the championship, I'd rather we just use the players we have and maybe add 1 max 2 new faces, and then look to improve the squad next summer if we are in the prem, where we would have more money, a lower wage bill and a higher standard of player to choose from.

Lennon Miller left out of the Motherwell squad for Rangers game today.  Linked with Torino, Udinese and Bologna.

Fxxk me if that's the case, get on it!

Need a striker, so we will not get one, then watch the surprise Pikachu face on Top when we end up upper mid  table.

I like the look of a young Scottish striker at Hibs called Kieron Bowie.

6'3, 22 year old battering ram who could be great physical foil for our tricky wingers and attacking midfielders. Just got his first cap with the national team.

Gambling on potential with an unspectacular scoring record (6 goals in 18 games), but I've liked the little I've seen of him.

Definitely agree, but if there's ever a time to get some gametime in some youngsters legs it is now, get a young ST in, some games and goals in the tank.

Play the youth, and let some of these 'established' players get us back to PL

Even though I think Ayew has done well in pre season, we are a striker and an energetic midfielder away from making Marti ball fully work.
