Still sacked from Southampton.

Marti is Still here though.

They are 4th from bottom and Still had pretty much all pre season.

Another fraud manager who managed to build a PR machine around him.

To be honest, did Will Still really have the pedigree and track record behind him to be a success at Southampton anyway?

He seems popular with fans, and has a good PR image around him, but his track record doesnt suggest he would take a club like Southampton forwards. Or to me at least.

Id be much more confident the likes of Mark Robbins or Chris Wilder to get the job done. Managers of that ilk.

They dont need a points deduction. As much as it pains everyone to admit - they are even worse than us.

The light for us is our academy and that we have some genuine class talent coming through. We all need to cling on to that.

I mean that’s ignoring that they didn’t just sell Dibling for silly money.

They will likely have got more for him, than we’ll get for either Fatawu or Monga too.

Seems a decent person and it's always sad to see a young manager being given the boot, but personally I never got the hype around Still.

He had one run of decent results at Reims and didn't fail at Lens - but equally, didn't exactly light things up there either.

I will stick by my word in the summer, the work Will Still produced in France definitely earned him the right for a good Championship job.

But after looking at the Southampton forum, quite a few saying he wasn’t the right personality to pick a relegated team off the floor. Maybe Cifuentes is falling into that bracket with us.

Maybe the likes of us and Southampton desperately need a certain mentality, whether that comes in the form of experience, or someone who knows how to win things.

Leicester and Southampton in exciting battle as to who can appoint the longest series of crap managers.

We'll probably share a few along the way no doubt lol

Is some suggestions that Southampton are considering Gary O'Neil for the saints job, that would controversial considering in his playing years he spent most of his career at rivals Portsmouth.

The whole league is basically trash. Theres no point analysing it.

Theres no good players or teams.

Anything could happen in any game. And then you could replay the same fixture the weekend after and get a totally different result.

Form is irrelevant. Its why you regularly get results like Watford spanking Middlesboro without any prior indication they would. Or a team like Derby put together a few wins and as soon as they do theyll get spanked by someone any not win in 5.

Just a boring random mess of utter shitness.

It's certainly really is wide open and no one has any great consistency.

Form is a thing, but regardless, unpredictably makes it a good league.  Its a better league than the EPL.

There isn't a team in the Championship thst wouldn't finish bottom of the premiership

The standard is woeful but uts still more exciting than the dull premiership,  simply due to the fact its so open and the standard of defending is so low

Will Stil been found out, Steve Gerrard to Southampton maybe?

Having done a good job at his two previous clubs, I reckon it's more likely that he's a decent manager, still young enough to be learning his trade and won't exactly have harmed his reputation on the continent by being sacked from a basket case club on the skids.

Still will find himself back on the European managerial circuit if that's what he wants. He may want to stay here because of his wife but with English football being such a goldfish bowl he'll already be being written off by loads of fans and clubs. Not sure there's a decent job about for him at the moment. Maybe Boro if Edwards goes to Wolves (can't see that one happening though).
