Still or Marti to be first out?

That’s asking which club is run the worst, the answer will of course be still, because even the dire clubs like Southampton make better decisions than us

The club that hired Russell Martin, Nathan Jones and then Will Still. Nah - they are worse than us.

I don’t think we were ever going back up, even without a points deduction. I was thinking we’d be about 6th though, that looks wide of the mark currently.

We’re still hungover from the last few years, we need another couple of years of being shit to clear out the deadwood, but the problem is we keep signing more deadwood every season, it’s never ending. We’ll get rid of Soumare, Ayew, Faes and Daka this summer, but we’re now stuck with Skipp, Thomas and Hamza.

Southampton need investigating. How do they always manage to be even worse?

Just taking snippets from the comments Still has made this season. There is interference in the playing side from someone on the board, certain players don’t give a damn about the results and those who didn’t leave are stinking the place out, and he wanted certain positions filled and they never were.

They are going down, seems like they are in a similar position to Sunderland to when they plunged through the leagues. Certainly a club we won’t see in the Championship for a while if they do end up in league one.

At least they have hope, unlike us, because they're not about to be hammered by a points deduction and, once they do finally get the right manager, they are financially strong enough to back him well. There is no light at the end of the tunnel for us at this point.

Odds will be crap by then, have the balls to do it now.

Certainly lump it on now. Nothing will be decided before the end of the year.

They dont need a points deduction. As much as it pains everyone to admit - they are even worse than us.

The light for us is our academy and that we have some genuine class talent coming through. We all need to cling on to that.

The comments about interference may have been true but there were serious questions being asked about him by the playing staff towards the back end of July. What should have been an appointment to rejuvenate them turned pretty sour very early on.

Has any other club got a player that cost £25m on the bench (Skipp) because they're not good enough to start, even when there's injuries?

Seriously depressing.

Last week at Millwall we had players costing a combined total of around £90m on the bench. :nono:

Will Still sacked: Southampton sack manager after 13 games with club three points above Championship relegation zone

Southampton have sacked manager Will Still.

The Saints sit 21st in the Championship, three points above the relegation zone having won only two of their 13 league games following relegation from the Premier League last season.

Still was appointed in May - his first role in English football - after he had left Ligue 1 side RC Lens.

Southampton suffered their third consecutive defeat on Saturday, losing 2-0 at home to Preston North End and they have won just once in their last 11 matches across all competitions

We were all annoyed when they appointed him, given he had a full pre season as well.

We will see them, we’re probably going down together.

A real blow for the Football Manager nerds.
