Just realised boro are level with them now . A lot of season to play could easily mess up big time with a bit of luck.

Was reading an article on BBC Football last night talking about a £50m investment in Wrexham, and how apparently the club is valued at c. £300m.

The world's gone mad if anyone in their right mind thinks that valuation correctly reflects their potential and position in the pyramid.

I get the marketing pull with their ownership who are doing an incredible job to build up the hype around the club and increase revenue, along with the fact that currently they have a lot of PSR headroom which if they continued on a linear trajectory would help them enormously.

However, it just feels like the hype bubble could burst at any moment, especially if they stall, miss the the playoffs then end up having a few years in the Championship around midtable flirting with the playoffs. Suddenly their wage bill will start to catch up with them, as the previous year's drop off the PSR calculations and the outlook will be a very different one to that of today.

If I'm their fans, I'm in terror of what the PE morons who bought in at that valuation are going to try to do when they are in charge.

FT at Boro, well done lads.

Chavs still playing...
EDIT - that's it! One small sliver of joy today - the gap is now ZERO to second and 5 to 3rd. :schmike:

Only we could be one of the so called top clubs this year in a season where the champion will likely be under 90 points and we are cruising down the table towards relegation level. Lol.

Lets go win league 2.

They were like 10 clear at one point right?

Assuming Ipswich get autos I think the playoffs will be fun this year. Gap from 3rd to 6th feels smaller and it'll be much harder to call. If one of those teams around mid table now make a good run at it and squeak into 6th, I think they'll fancy their chances.

Ipswich have only won 1 away game in the last couple of months. They only just scraped a home draw against Preston with a late penalty yesterday. They now have 5 away games on the bounce including Wrexham in the cup then immediately after in the league. There's a good chance they will be out of the top 6 by the end of the month if they don't start winning away, especially if Derby beat them at home next weekend.

Some great comments here from those that don't care about us in the slightest 😂

A lot of Leicester fans I know couldnt care less about Coventry. It's only because your wider fanbase seems to have this obsession with us and froth at the mouth every time they speak about us that I personally would like to see them put back in their place and humbled.

Are you the equivalent of Leicesterfox on SkyBluesTalk.

We’re not sad enough to make a thread about it, or give real verbal abuse.

Well that way would also make the play offs interesting!  I mistakenly keep assuming they'll kick on and get over the line.

@Sky Blues, I would say it’s this.

With Leicestershire, there’s a much broader scope as to who we see as rivals depending on where you were from. For example, I am originally from North-West Leicestershire. I knew a lot of Derby fans at high school and then later on, Forest. The only time to this day I have met a Coventry fan was on holiday as a kid as there was no issues around football or animosity. Coventry were not even on my radar until we were relegated in 2023 and played you on the opening day and your fans piped up.

Having seen have rabid your fans are towards us, that now makes the prospect of you blowing promotion quite amusing (in a season we have nothing to find amusing to be fair).

Give us a break, we've got to manufacture some sort of light relief from this season's misery 😅.

You go on about them only winning one away game in 2 months (against you) but in them 2 months they have closed a 15 point gap to 7 with a game in hand? I'd be more worried about yourselves.

You will be under more pressure than any team in that top 6 with the big points gap you had, hull the ones you want to watch out for going about it quietly and have a game in hand to.

Cov aren't even on 2 points a game anymore. I think they bottle this completely. Picture the scene!

They could be sat in 3rd a week tomorrow!
