I do think he deserves a bit more than being branded "Someone from the MLS". He's had successful coach stints at Chelsea and Man Utd, highly regarded. If he hadn't been to the MLS it would be the same as when Ipswich hired McKenna.

That being said... the tactics are more than a tad alarming! I can't think of any manager whose chosen system is 5-4-1.... and he's chucking players in there Amorim style, WBA two best players were shoved into the wing back positions for the 3rd game in a row.

Safe to say he needed that late goal!

He does have some great pedigree coaching wise, for some reason MLS coaches just don't seem to move over well.

Some really weird choices so far, west brom weren't great but were never far off doing alright, they seem at sea currently

If the actual attendance last night was 20,099 ... then fair play to DCFC for saying so, rather that quoting "ticket sold" which would probably have been 25,000 ish.

Boro and Millwall putting teams to bed by scoring early and then doing this incredible thing called going for more goals....what a feeling that must be

I remember in the match thread some people taking the piss out of the suggestion that we should have signed Whittaker.

11 goals and 5 assists in 27 games playing a multitude of positions.  That'd have been tragic for the 4 or 5 mill he cost.

Glad to see Boro picking up a bit of form again, shame their blip seems to have coincided almost exactly with Cov's. If Ipswich can win their game in hand things get a bit tasty up at the top.

Hopefully the WBA away version of Norwich turn up Monday.

South Coast Derby

If Southampton win - they go above us

If Portsmouth win - they'll go above us once we have a points deduction

So we want a draw right?

Rather a Southampton win here

6pts off playoffs still lol lol

I know there's a points deduction looming but it's amazing we're that 'close'...

The fact the league is so poor has made how we've treated this season 10x more frustrating.

We could afford to be just very ordinary and still be chasing promotion and we haven't even been able to do that lol

Just seen the table and I factored in our potential / likely minus nine. Gut feeling, we’ll be down. Sheff Weds gone, Portsmouth in there but Oxford proved they have more fight and bottle than us (not that they’ll get such easy 3 points every week). Then Blackburn, well we saw them against us, forget our current points per game average being higher than those clubs, we’re on a downward trajectory getting worse by the day, no leaders, no fight, I know who I’d fancy in a dogfight at the bottom.
If Marti thinks pressure was on yesterday try staring up to see we’re beneath the relegation safety zone, they’ll need portaloos on the touchline!

Norwich will end up not being anywhere near the bottom. With Wednesday gone it’s between Charlton, Portsmouth, Oxford, Blackburn, WBA & us for the drop
