Let's look at the evidence....

 

We've lost to Blackburn at home

We've lost and drew to Oxford

We only just beat Sheff Wednesday on the opening day

We've lost to Charlton 

We've drew to Portsmouth

In the next 5 league games we have; Southampton, Stoke, Middlesbrough, Norwich and Ipswich. Which of those will be our next win?

 

The first time we were relegated, we had a bunch of players who thought they were too good to go down and were out of contract. We had players who didn't care as well because of the contract situation AND we tried to bring in fresh faces who didn't work in Jan. We took too long to get a manager, and it was too late for them to change it around. Sound familiar?

 

Also, you could argue that fate is having a laugh as well. We play fellow relegation threatened team Blackburn on the final day, exactly 10 years since we won the premier league. How do we celebrate that? Relegation to the 3rd tier. 

 

Manager after manager have been thrown under the bus by the players. Now our legend Kingy is being thrown under the bus by the people who are suppose to be running the club. 

 

I'm with @Muzzy_no7 we are relegated because we're not going to pick up the points we need. We are a cluster foo of a club.

I'm the same. Even high flying teams like Watford I thought were terrible and yet we lost to them. 

 

I'm on the belief that the players want us to go down. They are far too good to be in the position we're in. It just doesn't make sense to me. How can players of this calibre be so crap, have no ability to win games, make such horrendous mistakes time and time again. I just don't get it. 

 

The only thing I can think of is that we have the lowest IQ of any team in the football league.

It's good to see that nobody cares about us at all as is always said on here....

 

We have solid home form but have been poor away for a fair bit. Yesterday showed that Oxford have what you're missing. They might have only had 26% possession and just 4 shots and none of them came close, but they have balls and fight all the way to the end. It was total 1 way traffic with 24 shots for us, but 12 of them were blocked. We had over 50 touches in their area but just couldn't score. Fair play to them.

Where do you see those draws, let alone wins, coming from? We haven't won in 5 games, 4 losses on the trot, and haven't kept a clean sheet in 25(?) league games. Please share, because anything to spark some optimism or hope right now is desperately welcome.

If you wanted to try and squeeze some optimism out of those fixtures, you'd also point to previous results as you did for Oxford, Blackburn, Charlton, Portsmouth. We beat Norwich, Stoke, and Ipswich. And were a minute or so away from beating Boro too. 

 

Admittedly it feels like we're a bit ****ed until James is back. But with the new faces, potential for us to keep 11 on the pitch for 90 mins, and maybe even a new manager, I wouldn't be throwing in the towel just yet.

kinda like Cov fans saying they dont care about LCFC

 

like Cov have fallen massively, they are only 6 points ahead of Millwall now in 5th, 

its quite the drop in form

Didn't think we needed mentioning lol Cov have lost in a playoff final on penalties, lost a semi final in the last minute, and if they **** this season I'm pretty sure they'll be the first championship side ever to have a ten point lead and not go up
