Only if he is willing to take a 300k a week wage drop!

That – and he'd actually have to play some football to start with.

We are missing a Belgium player.

Logan NDenbe is free.

Left back.

Can he be worse than Thomas?

Already mentioned elsewhere but Brandon Williams has left Hull.

Can he be worse than Thomas?

At driving, yes.

Victor kristiansen back training, can he be worse than Thomas?

I don't know actually might be,  or just more expensive and on a par.

I worry slightly then he becomes the next Thomas from too much game time too soon.

He’s got athleticism unlike Thomas.
which means he needs experience more than anything.

I think he’s already better than him for the most part anyways

Joe Powell is a free in summer if he doesn’t agree a deal with Rotherham.

decent leader on the pitch from what I’ve seen and is a very solid player at this/champ level, plenty of years left in him and although statistically he’s not a big goalscorer or a defensive anchor, he could be a decent and affordable “glue” style midfielder to tie things together.

Andre Dozzell at Pompey is a free agent in the summer, but whether he would want to take a step down a league as he could quite easily get another club at championship level.

Good shout if he would take the step down, expect he might get a few championship offers but I guess it depends who they are from. Being a delusional fan you'd hope that if an offer from us came in and an offer from Lincoln came in, they would choose us. Short term it may look silly, but I think if we can give players assurances that financially we can rebuild a decent squad and fight for promotion, we may still appear to be the better long term target.

I think we are probably going to have to do a LOT of convincing to players, and despite the facilities (if we can keep them open) it won't be a secret that we are on borrowed time to get promoted, we might end up in a situation where quite a few of our incoming players demand contract clauses in their favour, such as low release clauses to other clubs if we fail to get promoted at the first time of asking. Sadly that's the sort of gamble we are going to be forced to take.

We are going to have to use the loan market to good effect as well, I have no idea who we would target could we get Sam Smith at Wrexham he had a good spell in League One with Reading some time ago, do we go for Emile's son's at Manchester City? We must incorporate our promising young players: Jake Evans, Louise Page, League One is more attritional than the championship we need a full squad of players to deal with the demands of the division.

I saod before, Aaron Webster at Burton is decent. Was released by Chelsea. So thats the Kind of player we should be looking at. Young players with something to prove. Richards might actually be worth signing for League 1(he's out of contract I beleieve?)

Yep, you’d hope if we can get a charismatic manager in with a clear identity and plan we would be able to maybe convince prem clubs to send us some of their most promising young players, if we can keep seagrave it would make sense to send the to our facilities for a season, they get the benefit of the physicality of league 1, but the world class facilities to improve their game in.

In terms of the squad, would Wanya be worth having on a years deal in League 1?

Probably worth giving him an extension for a year just for the hope that we might be able to sell him, academy players should always be moved on for a fee if at all possible.

Damien Durand would be a decent signing at L1.  Plays at Red Star in France, had a decent season, out of contract and his wages would be low also (so my Parisian friend says)

Posted this a couple of times in other threads, and there are rumours other champ clubs are looking at him, but Enzo Bardeli on a free transfer would be a cheat code in League 1 imo.
Looks set to leave Ligue 2 Dunkerque this summer. 30 games, 9 goals 5 assists. (33/10/6 in all comps) Plays as a very central midfielder who plays not as a CAM but more a box to box player, 25 years old. Absolutely elite at League 1 level, and we should be bending over backwards to sign him and build around him. Easily a top level Champ player imo. This is a MUST SIGN player. I'd happily give him favourable terms with a low buyout clause if we fail to get promoted just to get him over the line, give him strong assurances and he may just take a gamble on us, rumoured to be on 7-8k per week. If we can stretch to 15k a week as one of our top earners it could be possible.

Obligatory video showing only the best parts of his game without the flaws lol
