Posted this a couple of times in other threads, and there are rumours other champ clubs are looking at him, but Enzo Bardeli on a free transfer would be a cheat code in League 1 imo.
Looks set to leave Ligue 2 Dunkerque this summer. 30 games, 9 goals 5 assists. (33/10/6 in all comps) Plays as a very central midfielder who plays not as a CAM but more a box to box player, 25 years old. Absolutely elite at League 1 level, and we should be bending over backwards to sign him and build around him. Easily a top level Champ player imo. This is a MUST SIGN player. I'd happily give him favourable terms with a low buyout clause if we fail to get promoted just to get him over the line, give him strong assurances and he may just take a gamble on us, rumoured to be on 7-8k per week. If we can stretch to 15k a week as one of our top earners it could be possible.

Obligatory video showing only the best parts of his game without the flaws lol

Bit of a risky one maybe but Berkan Taz from SC Verl in the German 3rd tier. Attacking midfielder with 53 g/a in the last two seasons. Leo Scienza who’s been great for Southampton was playing well at a similar level couple seasons ago which I think is a decent indicator the standard translates well over here. Fairly sure his contract is up and is available on a free.

Not many highlights on YouTube but looks to have a good strike on him, at least based on this video.

Two loans loans which I think would be both achievable and interesting - Tommi O’Reilly from Villa and Kian Best from Chelsea.

O’Reilly has done well this season on loan at Crewe with good numbers. Plays as a winger/attacking midfielder.

Kian best looked really promising couple years back when he broke through at Preston couple years ago. Got released by them though so not sure what went wrong there. Picked up by Chelsea on a free and seems to have had a couple good games in the EFL trophy.

Some interesting upcoming championship free agents:

CB - Ben Wilmot, A leader who’s good on the ball with much experience.

LB - Max Lowe, just an upgrade to Thomas. Linked with him in the summer and solid going forward also.

LB - Jamal Lewis, again an upgrade to Thomas. Struggled with injuries but could be a problem as an attacking left back.

LB - Aaron Cresswell, experienced pro with vital leadership. Older player but still performing and a deadly set piece. Short term deal.

CDM - Jairo Riedewald, not a consistent starter currently but a true holding midfielder comfortable on the ball.

CDM - Tommy Doyle, he’s a leader, good on the ball and scrappy. Would be a good addition.

CDM - Andre Dozzell, Very good on the ball, has the ability to dictate play.

ST - Josh Maja, been poor as of late but we’ve had interest in the past.

ST - Ross Stewart, we’ve been crying out for a different option up front. His presence and technical ability would cause problems in L1. Scored 24 in 46 games last time he played in league 1.

ST - Lyndon Dykes, similar to Stewart gives you a different option up front. Goal return might improve in league 1.

ST - Danny Ings, short term fix but just a goal scorer.

I would be interested in adding 3-4 older free agents with leadership like Lascelles, Cresswell, Doyle (not old) in what I imagine is going to be a very young squad for us.

Doyle would be the perfect signing for our situation, someone who could head up a rebuild over the next 5 years or so

Wilmot, Doyle, Stewart

Cresswell, Riedewald, Ings

Could get behind a team like this...

                            GK (/Stolarczyk)

Aluko     Wilmot     Souttar/Nelson     Thomas

               Doyle    Skipp    Braybrooke

            Evans     Stewart         Monga (/Alves)

Tommy Doyle still has 2 years left on his contract at Wolves

He will either go back there for next season or Birmingham will buy him

Ah, thought he was a free- for the record, his signing for Birmingham is the idea we should be following albeit maybe cheaper

So he is, I wonder why it’s showing some places as out of contract? Would definitely target him as a loan signing though if Wolves don’t plan on keeping him around.

It's because it's showing his Birmingham contract.

Can we tempt Conrad Logan back to the bench from Anstey Nomads. Would be better than our other recent backup keepers.

He’d genuinely do a job, still got class

Would be a very good second choice for next year on a lower wage you’d imagine. If we are really broke this and Ross Stewart might be the move for us

I've literally just watched him put Kurt Angle, the man who won an Olympic Gold Medal With A Broken Freaking Neck, to sleep with said move.

so I hate to be the one to state the bleedin obvious, but these are of course championship free agents and we will be playing  in the 1st division with an apparent big need to slash our wage will. Many of these might not get past the first phone call.
