Hope I’m not ‘repeating’ a thread,  but hypothetically, in relation to how our club is treating the fans, would anybody go and support a splinter club if it was to form - in the same vein as FC United in a response to the Glazer takeover.

As I now prefer the non league experience, I definitely would.  Is anyone else feeling the same?

Personally I wouldn't follow a splinter club whilst the actual club is still alive, however bad things are at the moment. I'd sooner play my small part in trying to force change and if that didn't work I'd just walk away altogether.

Fair enough.  It would be tough to do I

guess

I’m not sure I see the difference between MK Dons and FCUM

They both formed around the same time but how and why they formed could not be more different.

I used to play Sunday league against fc city of Leicester about 13 years ago.

i reckon you’d have a law suit on yer hands and they’d win

Surely it would be Leicester Fosse? Technically they don’t exist anymore so you could register a company in that name!

There’s plenty of local non league clubs playing at an ok level to get behind depending on where you live in the county.

North - Quorn (absolutely flying), Shepshed

West - Barwell, Leicester Road, Coalville

south - Harborough

Citeh - Ansteh, Aylestone Park

If you’re disillusioned with the city, support them. Ask all the lads that are involved in clubs like that how much of a positive impact it’s had on their life since they swapped the city for it. It’s about being part of something again, community, mates, affordable pints, good football etc.

I can understand for the folks of leicester, doing this when Leicester is your only team. But if you live in Hinckley, Loughborough, Nuneaton, Coalville, Anstey, Quorn, Barwell, Brackley, Kettering etc with a non league team already etc its pointless supporting another non league club.

But it wouldn't be your club.  That's why fans create their own.

I remembered there used to be Leicester United they used to be a strong force in what was Southern League Midland division. I think they went out of business in the late 90s i wonder if they could reform. Ground share with Friar Lane..

They’ve already reformed and not too well at all

Just looked bottom of the league with no points after 22 games 🙄 so there is a team in Leicester worser than the foxes lol

Did they, what league?

Leicester Senior League. They never had great support originally, they were effectively Enderby Town but changed their name to try and attract more supporters
