Genuinely would've been happier just to keep Ruud and give him a go at turning around.

No chance.

RvN will never be a good manager as long as he has a hole in his ar$e.

He would have just continued making the same bunch of errors he did last season. Like the owner and board, he's incompetent and clueless.

Does anyone really think that we are passing on rohl cos we don’t want to pay £600k……

come on now, they passed on Corberan cos they didnt wanna spend £3/4mil

both parties were interested too

Forgot all about O’Neil, done well to be fair since he started managing. I’d go for him over DR though bags more experience knows the leagues / players and he’s free.

I haven’t seen such a collective show of derision since my sisters on my 8th birthday when I chose to go to Snibston Discovery instead of watching Babe at the cinema.

Wonder if they're trying to put pressure on Sheff Weds/Rohl by leaking this? ****ing hope so.

That implies some level of competency in our decision makers, so it’s highly doubtful imo

Gary O Neil will do a decent job here imo. Did brilliant at Bournemouth keeping them up at our expense. Started off well at Wolves as well before it tailed off. A manager that actually plays youth as well unlike the dinosaur Dyche so will actually use the assets at the club. Chris Wilder can go and fck himself. We are shit but we’re miles out of that bums league. Steve Cooper 2.0

Don’t, thought of it makes me want to jump foot first into a wood chipper.

Was he there for the whole season? I thought he came in midseason

He was at wolves from August 23 to December 24 so he was there for the whole of 23/24

Rohl was never going to jump from one disaster to another, Dyche knows the score with Rudkin et al. It’ll be the one who’s desperate for the job, any job, just like Cooper was. Come back in November when we start another manager search.

Sheffield Wednesdays disaster is far worse then ours. A points deduction and a shite Director of football vs a club that cant/wont pay its staff

The timing of Owynn’s tweet are odd. Especially mentioning Rohl after Dorsett said it’s not happening.

Giving Owynn far too much credit here

I know you are posting with a comedic face on it, but when you drill down and look at it seriously it really is sad that the club can't cough up 600k. Its less than Coady's wages if he's finally binned off to Rangers.

Surely with entering in to a new PSR accounting period we are free to spend a relatively small amount, to pay Sheffield.

Also how is the situation "complicated" according to some media plebs?  He has a well documented release clause, we trigger it buy offering to pay the amount,  it then free's him to be interviewed,  we hire him and pay the release clause amount or move on to other targets if he stinks in the interview.

Or am I missing something here?

I think its more the fact the Sheff Weds owner is pissing us around but they need money and Rohl don't want to be there... so something has to give ?

They were happening though, this was posted yesterday..

I don't doubt it, it would be criminally stupid by the club to not have contingency plans. It's clear the club want Rohl otherwise we'd have appointed one of Dyche/O'Neil/Wilder by now.

Despite my initial meltdown, I still think they’re playing chicken with Chansiri.

I don’t understand what he thinks he’s going to achieve with the situation, he’s got his academy manager taking pre season training, Rohl doesn’t want to be there and will end up walking for no money that they desperately need. Something has to give.

Point of a release clause is you don’t need to piss about

I thought they’d put all their eggs into potter’s basket

and when that became complicated they dived for cooper - maybe they didn’t want to embark on corberan because he was already in a job and whilst he had a compensation clause it’s not always as simple as that.  We appointed cooper 20 June. Ahead of pre season where we needed to spend money.  The timing here likely shows we have little intention of spending in this window.

Eventually his constant tinkering with player instructions left us with no real playing identity or mentality to deal with bad situations. That rubbed off on the players and discipline was an all time low.

Reports we need someone to fix the culture, appoint the man who lost the dressing room, caused a lack of discipline and fighting on the pitch.

And finished 14th with no pre season with the players, which to me seems decent. So it's odd how his stats were apparently muck (I won't lie I didn't study what you posted)
