True - you're never going to persuade the hardcore KPFC lot to join a protest. But there will be a large number of supporters who definitely aren't in that group and are very pissed off about what's happening at the club, but will be reluctant to support a message that feels more like a two-fingered gesture to the KP group rather than a clear articulation of what needs to change at the club. I suppose it comes down to what the ultimate aim is: to gain attention via shock value but risk a major backlash, or help to build a groundswell of support behind the protest and ultimately put more pressure on the club. Personally think the latter may prove more effective in the long run, although I understand the motivations of those favouring the former approach.

Abrasive anti-KP/Top sentiment is going to catch more attention than the witty slogan nicey-nicey approach. They're not doing anything differently yet so it's time to escalate it. Are they going to sell up immediately? No, but are they under more pressure and more likely to enact change from a point of self-preservation.

How it plays with the KP circle in Thailand is important too. 'KP Out' means Top's mum and the family are going to look even more disapprovingly on the project. Trying to keep the sensible, middle-grounder fans on board doesn't move the needle because they're very unlikely to protest anyway.

Frightening comments on here and on Facebook.

Who employs Whelan and Rudkin and has continued to employ them throughout 4-5 years of steady decline and massive failure?

Top is part of the problem and while he has the power to sack Rudkin and Whelan he should also be looking to sell, he’s so out of his depth.

Facebook absolutely.

I don’t agree about the comments on here though. Nobody is defending Top. We all know he is ultimately accountable.

All people are saying is to consider wording that is likely to make the message clear whilst being done is a smarter way, that won’t result in the message being shouted down by the cult who only get off they arses to defend Top!

What do angry football fans do when not happy? Shout for someone’s job or for them to be ‘out’. Mostly managers, sometimes players. The risk is that this is shouted down by the cult and is put down to an angry minority.

Personally, I just want my club back. If Top completely overhauled everything, made things good on and off the pitch and publicly held himself accountable and showed some humility, I’d not rush back to giving the club my money but I’d see how things went.

Obviously it’s unlikely as he’s a spoiled man child.

This is my take. I'd be happy for King Power to sell up, but equally I'd take them still being here but with the right people running things.

I think the new message won't be as effective in forcing change, but I'm happy to back it if it means causing some unrest with the board.

They are the people running things, that’s the problem, unfortunately.

They are unlikely to protest but they are very likely to be in the stadium at the time of this happening and the story coming out of it could very much be that the stadium backed Top.

Not read the whole thread but if you're planning on it saying King Power Out as this Facebook Post - https://www.facebook.com/LCFCNEWS you'll be alienating a lot of fans judging from the comments.

The same fans are alienated by any protest. They think it's just one of those things that happens, we were in league one {current_year-2009} years ago. They have to be ignored because they just pay less attention to what's going on.

There is no protest they'd be hay with, most would back Top if we went down to league one because his dad died - nothing to do with his own ability to run the club.

Probably true, but my point being this message might drum up support the other way and drive the narrative which will make it a bit more difficult.

Most comments saying that it should be Rudkin Out (as KP are blameless and it’s all down to him) and yet on the 14th minute of every match….silence (apart from Union FS).

They might but it's better forcing the issue rather than doing the counterfactual, which is watering down any protest sentiment enough that KPFC Ultras won't be annoyed at it.

The narrative would be Leicester Fans Protest Against Owners, Some Fans Express Support for Owner. At the minute we're basically just tacitly expressing support for the owner anyway.

Fair enough, depends how it comes across on TV I guess.

Yet you all happily drink the free beer and accept the free gifts. Careful what you wish for.

Andrew Cornish
No way can’t be that disrespectful to the family

Stephen Price
Don't do it king power is not the problem the club is in good hands it's just the dof and the people around him need to go

Glenn West
Why are you promoting this? It's a disgrace. After what that family has done for our club. The problem is our recruitment has been s#*t for years.... buying most of the Southampton back four after we put nine past them was the start of the rot...

Norman Moon
What a bunch of Plums obviously not been fans long enough to to know where we were before KP came

lol

Callum said that to me at the time about wanting Rodgers out

We really are a povvo bunch of fans aren't we?

Give us a beer and we owe you something. Jesus Christ.

Will they ever realise the free beer 'gifts' are obligations of sponsorship contracts?

You wouldn't take a beating on the streets on the condition that the guy paused to buy you chips anyway.

The average football fan is probably slightly thick but we must severely under-index for IQ levels as a fanbase.

These are bots. I mean if you were making up names, these would be very high up the list. Cornish and Moon.

Silence throughout the match tbf.

KP aren't blameless but we're highlighting the state of the club. Turning it on KP specifically let's the directors off the hook.

The actual wording is not the most important thing... the media coverage about the outrage is what its all about.
