Hello. I am Danish and watch Leicester a lot because of your Danish players (sorry for the bad performances this season)

 

My wife works for Brøndby FC, and they have had a Japanese player on Trial last month for a short time (Tomoyuki Doi). A striker.  He has rejected the contract Brøndby offered because of interest in a Trial from Leicester.

 

Good luck for the last games this season, and sorry for my bad English!

His only adventure into Europe was a “success” as well 

 

 

In January 2023, Doi went to Europe to join the club Bylis in the 2nd division Albanian league, Kategoria e Parë. On 29 January 2023, 17 minutes into his debut for the club, he scored a league goal against KS Kastrioti in a 1–0 win. On 1 July 2023, Doi was released from the club.

The kind of player we should be throwing over to Leuven to test the water....if we dared to use a multi club model properly that is

It is. Everything else was a bit meh. 

 

Biggest thing that stands out for me, besides the fact he's only ever played in pub leagues at 27, is that the Singapore league looks like it gets almost zero fans. 

 

It'd be an enormous culture shock for him to have to play in front of stadiums full of tens of thousands of people, he's basically never done it successfully. 

 

The amount of footballers in covid that all of a sudden had little purple patches, even Iheanacho really, because there was nobody watching live. We really under estimate I think how much difference it makes. 

 

Can't see this guy ever signing and making any impact.

Tomoyuki Doi is currently the world's top scorer. It's matchday 28 in the Singapore Premier League, and Doi has already scored 39 goals. 🇸🇬⚽

You say that, but are we better than Leuven? Cos if we're not then there's no point testing players there...

The Singapore League is probably a higher standrad than the Scottish Pub League.  It is yes from me.  Dufkin get it done - 7 year contract 70,000 big ones a week.

I don’t know if he is good enough for the Championship. But he impressed trainers at Brøndby with his positioning play, “football intelligence” and free kick taking. As said, Brøndby wanted to sign, but they got a “no”. I would say the Top Half of the Superliga is around Championship level.

 

he has scored many goals this season and in his career, and I understand his fail last time in Europe was full of non-football problems which meant he did not perform to his max.

 

I think for the small price he would cost he would be worth a chance.
