Why wouldn't we file it before the deadline? And this is a genuine question- what would we gain by not doing it?

We were late doing it last year - I think that was to do with the loophole stuff we used

Oh for the love of God not this again. Nobody has any grounds to impose a transfer ban on us - and if they did it would be a disaster because we’d just end up keeping unwanted, disinterested players who we’d otherwise be able to replace.

Can't see any of the unwanted, disinterested players going anywhere. Who'd have them?

But the disinterested players nobody wants are on high wages and next season we will have the lowest PSR threshold we have had in over 10 years.
So hypothetically keeping those players isn’t sustainable

I think Faes’s status as a regular starter for Belgium combined with his relatively low book value will mean we’re able to shift him. We may also be able to offload Soumare on the continent, if only on loan. Hopefully Ayew and BDCR won’t fancy playing in the Championship and will seek moves elsewhere. I’d love to say the same about Vestergaard but that might be stretching it a bit…

They will have relegation clauses that see their wages drop considerably. Without a transfer embargo, we would likely seek to offload them and replace them; with an embargo, we’d be more inclined to keep them. Thankfully this is all a bit academic as we’re not getting a transfer embargo.

Including clause last time

It was the highest in the division, Just under £60m we have also added a host of high earners relative to the champ since then plus players like Soumare and Victor back.
It wouldn’t be possible to maintain anywhere near that wage bill next season.

Leeds for example sold €160m worth of players and have still had to reduce the wage bill.

Leeds have had two consecutive seasons in the EFL. If we’d have failed to get promoted last season we’d also had to have reduced the wage bill further. I’m not saying we’ll have exactly the budget we had for 23/24, but in terms of resources we’ll be one of the strongest teams in the division.

That’s the point I was making, you said if there was a transfer embargo we could just keep the players.

Thats not possible with a 22m reduction in PSR.
I used Leeds as an example as we will be on the same PSR next season, whilst we have an increase in revenue this season we have also had nearly a 50 percent higher wage bill and a current net spend of -€89m and it that profit soon gets eaten up.

We also used a loophole last time to aggressively spend to push for promotion and it’s probably why our wage bill was nearly 30% higher than Southampton’s in the Championship despite them selling €187m worth of players.

Vestergaard has no book value left and his wages in the Championship ought to see a European club after him for a nominal fee, the issue is whether he'd be willing to move.

I don’t know what this all means. Can we get a transfer back?

Can we get a points deduction?

Can we get a huge fine that's added to psr so we can't spend?

What I do know is Top Rudkin and Whelan have truly fvcked our great club over.

Vichai's legacy has been well and truly destroyed.

Starting to think the positions they've put us in is worse than administration. With that we could get an investor.

What they've done is **** it up for anyone coming in.

So more money we don't have wasted for being late.

They really are fvcking idiots then.

Let's just piss off the epl and efl.

You think that's wise?

Oh and a fine that probably goes against your psr for being stupid.

Well at least the captain of the Titanic had the brains to try to avoid it.

Our captain seems to be steaming head long into it.

But hey what's a few million fine between friends.

lol Won't fancy playing at their level? Unfortunately we'll be stuck with them, and due to the contracts/wages we've given them, no other club will want them.

We never learn. Vestergaard, Bertrand, Soumare, Amartey, Ward, Kristiansen, to name but a few.
